Re: Tickets anyone?
Another Speeding ticket. I'm still in the middle of fighting my last moving violation. Going canyon running, I see a cop and I slow down, deciding it's not worth it to run. The car ahead of me has bolted, and it's gone. I know I could have beaten him down the mountain, but then what? If he even cat...

Actually it is better to carry a balance on a card, no more than 50%, to help build your credit fast. While paying it in full is good to the credit card companies, the ones that report you to the 3 major credit bureaus, do not like it since it doesn't give them a good feel of your risk/reward factor...

BTW- jrumann59 , Gold is ~$960 Oz, and the record was set in the '80's at around $2400 of todays dollars if it was inflation adjusted. Gold is cheap. The problem I see is that it is more of an industrial metal today, for electronics. I figured it was a little higher but my point being that a precio...

We need to stop printing out fucking money like we are, and go back to gold/silver/tin standards. Money that is backed by nothing (current American Dollar) worth that, nothing. Every dollar you have in your pocked has to be paid back to the Federal Reserve at an interest rate (I don't remember how ...

you should have heard the crAp a few people had to say about your car... It was rediculous. Some people just have no respect for hard work and determination. Most of that was from the die-hard mazda guy tho, so it's all with a grain of salt. Too bad they are driving nothing more than glorified Ford...

I actually have a rather simple reaction to all of that. It just sounds like you said "you're wrong, it's the reverse". Soldiers are paid to fight. Additionally, they are expected to perform any number of other tactical activities, including rescue operations. But combat is the primary training of ...

Soldiers are NOT dummies. Hell, they turn people away from the armed forces nowadays. There are certain tests, you know. All I was saying (and perhaps you chose not to see this) is that they are human beings, limited in the same way that any other human beings are, in their perceptions of a given s...

I used to be republican, registered libertarian, right now I am watching the tennis match between the 2 prevailing parties and waiting to see which screws up least catastrophically What's more, I'm not against our system of government. I happen to rather like it. Unfortunately it requires people to ...

We should be in Afghanistan. Why, we overthrew the Taliban and they have a legitmate government. Because Osama MAY be there. We should NOT be in Iraq. Why because the UN said so or was it France, or China or Russia, all collaborators in the Oil for food scandal. We should have been in there a decad...

Are you sure about UN Mandates? Firing at US planes is a breach last I checked. As for the soldiers I do not care what they get from the chain of command but what they see on the ground and the "mission" as they see it. You give the soldiers far too little credit, they are not mindless grunts that j...

I signed it, it's a good cause, but it makes me angry that we are sending people over there to die, and for what? I think a lot of people confuse supporting the operation with supporting the troops. I support the troops. I don't support their continued demise in Iraq. What have we gained from the d...

Can you afford the regular maintenance on the BMW, 300-400 every 3 months for little crap. You may be able to cut it little like changing the oil but the filters are expensive like $30. BMWs have a lot a expensive little shit that has to be maintained. IF you don't have the disposable income for nor...

My concern would be how they are valving the brake system and whether the bias gets screwed up. on a side the car is running a decent rubber so this would appear to be more of show then function. I mean the logical choice to improve your barking after adding 17" rims is another caliper, would wouldn...
