Re: No VIN so probably not a good idea

I was really disappointed as I wanted to run the VIN on that site that BRR provided so that I could post all of the details about the car. It makes me sad to drive by it every day, sitting out in the weather after being inside for most of its life (well, according to the owner's wife). Oh well, I tr...

I sure hope that the weather cooperates with us. This meet will be the last time my car is driven before winter storage.

IrishkaMok: Country: Czechia State/Region: Prachatice District City: Ktis I have sent you a PM, I will send you a part of a service manual with all info needed. Re: No VIN so probably not a good idea

UPDATE- I stopped by there today to copy down the VIN but the owner has business cards wedged in over the VIN plate. This makes me think that something isn't right so I no longer suggest someone buying this car.

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

I had the the calipers rebuilt after getting new brakes. The front passenger-side caliper had locked up from not being lubricated in Missouri (this was according to a tech from the Indianapolis dealership)- it was smoking red hot! I noticed that the narrator of that video suggested replacing the OEM...

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

I would think that the long drive home from Missouri to Indiana would have broken in the brakes, not to mention the many miles I have driven since returning from the brake job. Even thought I rarely drive the car, it has been driven several times. Interesting that, in that video, the narrator mentio...

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

No A/C in the garage. Plus, it rained on my drive home from the Auburn, IN auction a few weeks ago- maybe sitting in the garage after that drive caused the moisture problem you mentioned? I'm hoping to take the car for a long drive this Saturday (weather permitting)... perhaps the squealing will go ...

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

Another trip to the dealership scheduled for October. I noticed my brakes squealing this past Saturday (rare drive day for the car, hot enough for both front windows to be down, hence hearing the noise).I'm puzzled since I got all new brakes at the Missouri dealership three years ago and then had th...

Your sidemarkers are great the way they are IMO. I normally don't like messing with the stock look of sidemarkers but yours "disappear" into your car when not being used. Very nice!

Yes to being able to delete the whole thread of non-legitimate users! I've spent several hours, deleting one post at a time. As much as I really care about the health of this site, it can be very time consuming trying to mop up the messes that these #$%^& spammers create.

Re: 2003 SRT DD

Yes, the SRT has the ATX light source. That's what I connected my light to. Thanks for your response and for not being upset at my threadjacking. :D I bought the 4608669AB (Mopar has superseded the part number) and the L0000037 bulb- now to make my first trip to a JY to find the harness pigtail. He...

Re: 2003 SRT DD

If you don't mind my threadjacking for a minute... would the harness for an ATX shifter bezel work with the cubby light? That is, if there is an ATX harness. I know that the ATX bezel lights up when the headlights are turned on so I'm assuming that there is some way it is connected to a power source...

Re: And so it begins...

And is it the president's fault that some US companies are increasing prices on domestically produced goods that aren't using imported raw materials? Nope, just a good reason to jack up prices. If the tariffs are creating such a shortage of aluminum, it certainly wouldn't explain the large number of...

Re: 1GN FS south of Monticello, IN

It's priced not to sell. If they really wanted to part with it... Right... this is why the family has the car sitting in their front yard for a few months now. And face it, the market for neons isn't exactly booming. And I read on this forum frequently how people who buy our cars are not the...

Re: 2003 SRT DD

Allegedly still available, $9.00 from Mopar. Probably not going to get new factory wiring for it though, as like I said, I think they decontented those after 2000. You would still need to do like said, run power from the console shifter light. IIRC bulb number 37 and 72 are the same base. But for D...

Re: 1GN FS south of Monticello, IN

I've spoken with the owner's wife. The car has sat inside in storage for most of its life, hence the non-cheap price. It was involved in an accident years ago but the husband bought another Neon and used its parts for repairs. Any more information, one would need to stop in themselves and ask as I a...

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

Thanks for responding. Is your wire actually attached to something or is it a "pigtail" like mine is? I hadn't noticed a twin on the passenger side hinge but, then again, I've owned the car for 12 years and just now noticed the driver's side one!
