Mods are working OT to beat the bots!

I just wanted to point out that, since the mods are really trying hard to ban spambots and delete their posts, club members don't see the majority of the spam posts. The few that you do see don't compare to the quantity of junk that you don't see.

Re: Dodge/Chrysler News

"... no reported accidents..."- that is the important phrase. FCA is being a "good guy" by voluntarily making a recall before anyone is hurt and without being forced to by the federal government.

But doesn't that cut the visibility of the fog lights? I like fog lights since they illuminate the road better for me while not blinding oncoming drivers.

Re: Dodge/Chrysler News

I would be more impressed if FCA were selling it's own designs in autos and achieved this status rather than their relying on big pickups and warmed-over Daimler-era vehicles.

As long as the restaurant has something on the menu besides wings...

Besides, if Red Robin is enough to entice OD to make the meet... :D

This is rain or shine, correct? I'll drive the Chevy if it isn't dry next Saturday.

Re: Floor Mats

I wanted WeatherTech back then due to their advertising about being American-made and also due to their claim of mats being designed specifically for each model of car. When mine arrived, however, they were generic (telltale sign- no hole for the Daimler carpet mounting hook). They did last longer t...

Re: Floor Mats

Follow-up to my post from 11 years ago... I first purchased WeatherTech mats that were supposed to be custom-fit for Neons (they weren't) but, when those wore out recently, I ordered replacements from Lloyd's Mats. The new mats arrived today and they are custom-fitted for Neons. Certainly an upgrade...

Re: No VIN so probably not a good idea

I was really disappointed as I wanted to run the VIN on that site that BRR provided so that I could post all of the details about the car. It makes me sad to drive by it every day, sitting out in the weather after being inside for most of its life (well, according to the owner's wife). Oh well, I tr...

UPDATE- I stopped by there today to copy down the VIN but the owner has business cards wedged in over the VIN plate. This makes me think that something isn't right so I no longer suggest someone buying this car.

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

I had the the calipers rebuilt after getting new brakes. The front passenger-side caliper had locked up from not being lubricated in Missouri (this was according to a tech from the Indianapolis dealership)- it was smoking red hot! I noticed that the narrator of that video suggested replacing the OEM...

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

I would think that the long drive home from Missouri to Indiana would have broken in the brakes, not to mention the many miles I have driven since returning from the brake job. Even thought I rarely drive the car, it has been driven several times. Interesting that, in that video, the narrator mentio...

Re: Midnight_Rider's progress log

No A/C in the garage. Plus, it rained on my drive home from the Auburn, IN auction a few weeks ago- maybe sitting in the garage after that drive caused the moisture problem you mentioned? I'm hoping to take the car for a long drive this Saturday (weather permitting)... perhaps the squealing will go ...
