I hate those fucking "wolverine slash" stickers that people put on their cars. So tacky.
Yikes. 135k miles, an accident, and he wants over twelve grand for it? That's laughable.

Re: 2003 SRT DD
Local guy was parting out a black SRT in one of the Facebook groups. I spotted the wingless lid and jumped on it. A PVO is definitely on my to do list. I just need to come up with the cash.

Thanks!
The plugs that go to the body harness are different. Everything else is the same; you just can't plug it in.

I did it. I found a unicorn. A wingless black trunk lid. https://i.imgur.com/tQdgsGll.jpg https://i.imgur.com/WamZ0kOl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/9EyGzUCl.jpg Now I just need a PVO. And just FYI, the wiring harness that goes to the lid is different for '03s. I found that out the hard way. Other than ha...

That seems like a decent price. I hope it turns out well. Take pics of the chain if you decide to cut it. I've always been curious about that mod.

Re: 2003 SRT DD
I used VHT caliper spray paint. I've also used the Duplicolor caliper kit that's a brush on application. That one's great for touch ups. I wouldn't suggest painting a whole caliper with it. Spray is the way to go for full coverage.

That's a lot of play for sure. What's the plan for the turbo? Rebuild or replace with something bigger?

What a bummer. It always blows my mind when someone is selling a car and they don't even bother to clean it. That car was really nice at one point, with Stage 3 and the coils.

Re: 2003 SRT DD
Yeah, 35mm offset. I know it's weird, but it happened on both the R/T and this chassis. I have the plates set up to negative one on both front and back to avoid rubbing. Only the fronts are close to the coils.

Re: 2003 SRT DD
3mm spacers up front keep the tires off of the coils. They rubbed without them. I don't love spacers, but they're a necessary evil in this case.

Re: 2003 SRT DD
I took the car out for a couple hours' round trip yesterday. The brakes were great. No more sticking. The pads feel good, too. Not super grabby until I ask them to be. Perfect for street pads.

Re: 2003 SRT DD
Well, I installed the new caliper and then drove around for a bit. I noticed it was still grabbing and could smell the hot brakes after a while. I went home and checked them out, only to discover that the other front caliper was sticking this time. Fortunately, Autozone had both in stock so I went a...

Here's the old setup in the front: https://i.imgur.com/WNCwqxLl.jpg The new setup looks better. I repainted the calipers, since they were faded. I forgot to take a pic before putting the wheel back on. https://i.imgur.com/MhyIRHLl.jpg All of the red had chipped off of one of the rear calipers, so I ...

Re: 2003 SRT DD
It was a special deal they had where you enter parts onto a wish list. Select winners are chosen to receive those parts for free. I won a runner-up prize which was $200 off any purchase of $400 or more. The pads and rotors were $465, so I paid $265. I'd been looking at brake parts for a while and wa...

I just bought new brakes from Wheelwell. This is my first purchase from them, so I'll report on how the process goes. I ordered Stoptech rotors and pads. I got a $200 discount and free shipping, so it was too good to pass up.

Re: 2003 SRT DD
So I was wrong about the brand. The box actually says “Spec D” on it, which is the same brand that Modern sells for $180 after shipping. https://i.imgur.com/dNp03Vk.jpg I’m so glad I didn’t buy them from Modern. I saved over $100. There are some differences between these and the Depos. The black par...

Re: 2003 SRT DD
I never considered that. I'm not sure what kind of warranties are available through eBay sales (also where I got the broken set). I already received a new set anyway. If these ones fail, I'm definitely going to complain to the seller. I bought these new ones from a company that claims to make them. ...

I was considering the generic eBay lights, since they all seem to be cheaply made. I can get a new set for $75 if I want to give them a shot.

I discovered this a couple of days ago. I'm super irritated, given how much searching I did for these lights. I'm thinking about coughing up the $180 for the ones from Modern ($35 shipping is robbery).

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White
Not bad. If I ever get a wingless trunk lid, I'm probably going to put the same spoiler on my car. I think yours could benefit from a little more black, though. Have you ever considered the carbon license plate surround or maybe some carbon crosshairs or something? Gloss black RPF1s?

I know the sensor is still in place. It has to be one of the pipes. Hopefully it's an easy fix and I don't have to replace anything.
