I had a bearing go on my front passenger side and the dealer told me that the year make and model wouldnt be enough because the car has two different types of bearings....he said he would need either the measurements for the bearing or my VIN number to determine ...

That is bullshit.....they need to prove that you were the cause of the damage to not replace it under warranty....take it to another Ford dealer and don't tell them you messed with it.

Could also be the seals for the tail lights....if those dry rot....the water leaks into the trunk then flows to the back seat and floor. Pull out your spare tire if there is any condensation and/or water in the spare tire well then that is definitely the problem.

Try drilling the TB plate....thats one of THE biggest problems with our beloved neon. Make sure to search how to do it so that you don't do it wrong.

I put used 140k mile '95 hubs on my car when I did my rear discs. Nothing wrong with them yet. Ive actually never had a neon have rear hubs go out. Its the fronts that are pretty easy to chew though. I have!! But I delivered newspapers for the first 80k miles.....thats hell on all parts of a car......
