well, since my car definatly doesn't run too hot.. and since it had only run for five minutes... and then mechanic reved it to 2k like twice and started the test.. i really don't think i heated it up enough.. im gonna go for a rip on the highway tommorow and see if i pass this time

yep, swap to 5-speed, or you will hate how shitty the atx feels compared to your blue car, but yea, glad that helped.. the problem is that the after-market shifters don't fit very well.. or stay tight.. id probably just go back to the stock one, thats what i ended up doing..

you might want to check that the cable going to the ignition from the atx shifter is ok, If you've got an aftermarket shiftknob on it, since its atx, they usually cause problems with the linkage there.. ive had it happen and i couldn't get the key to go all the way back, or come out.. Took the shift...

if my catalyst is half the temperature its normally at.. then im sure it's not going to be able to burn off those nox emissions.. you might be forgetting.. that my exhaust setup is far from stock.. and so its going to warm up differently.. i could still put my hand on my muffler when i got there for...

yea nothing is actually attached to the car they just put a probe in the tailpipe and run the car on a dyno at 2500 rpm... the car only runs rich when the upper o2 sensor messes up.. i guess ill just wait till both my new sensors get here. install them, and take it for a rip and get it e-tested agai...

Ok, so scratch egr issues.. lol. and the car is running fine, allthough recently my fuel mileage has gone down, but i think its from driving my car short distances without it warming up completely.. after an "incident" during the summer.. my brand new o2 lower sensor got ruined...FU%^ing roadkill!! ...

ok will do... actually that hose at the back of the valve cover.. blows.. if you put your finger over it.. you can feel the pulses of pressure... i thought for sure it sucked in air there, but it turns out it blows out fumes from the valvecover, back into the airbox(on the stock setup) My car was de...

Ok so i just replaced my cat like two weeks ago tops.. anyways.. i got the car e-tested today.. and it failed.. Too High of NOx readings.. wierd thing is, all my other numbers were wayy under the limits.. i dont have the breather hose on the back of the valve cover hooked into my intake right now.. ...

they just peel off.. they are held on by two sided tape...add heat if they are being hard to peel off.... You are definatly lucky your are getting these suggestions when your car is brand new.. it will look awesome with them removed.. and best of all, your paint will still match!

change out your ignition wires.. if that doesn't help, i'd look into a new ignition coil.. sounds like thats exactly what your problem is, bad wires or coil, never hurts to throw some new plugs in while your at it..

car parts stores around me sell the proper tool to take off the window cranks, its the same as the gm tool.. they use the same clips to hold on the cranks.. from experience.. i scratched my door handle trying to use needlenose pliers.. so next time around ill be using the tool.. im pretty sure its 4...

yeah its really nice lookin and well made, no restrictions anywhere in this piping lol...oddly enough, it seems quieter then the previous 2.25" aluminized steel setup, with the same muffler.. lol. Should have some sound clips today provided i can get to my buddies to use his camera.

try liquid wrench.. normally you should Never put any kind of lube on the sensor threads.. buts it has allready bought the farm... so yea.. spray some lube on it.. and then try tapping all the way around it with a small hammer.. might help break the corrosion holding it in... then crank the shit out...

neon angel does the udp use the same type of belts for both the big and small portion of the pulley.. as far as i know, the 95-99's use a 4-ribbed belt for the alternator, and a v belt for the power steering and ac.. could be wrong tho...
