All mounting bolts for everything must be torqued to factory specs before installing the belt, or it will pull the alt. out of allignment. try getting that other bolt properly secured. i'm willing to bet that'll fix the problem.

you can take the pads off, clean the backing plate, clean where the backing plate contacts the caliper, and then apply the backing plate lube. if you don't still have the lube (i'm sure you don't lol), you can use an anti-sieze paste. that's pretty much what the lube is, it seems. you should get less brake dust over stock pads. Have fun doin them. I just spent about an hour trying to get my driver side caliper off... no go. FSM didn't help a bit, either.
