At $450-600 for powdercoating (all four wheels) plus the fact that powerdcoat shops take their sweet time (I know I've powdercoated lots of things), NO THANKS.

I've been searching w/ Google and seen lots of paint jobs on wheels, and they look just as good when done right.

You consider BC's the "cheap" ones? And Mopars better? BC vs. Mopar/KW Stage 2's (Mopar=blue, BC=red&black): http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/2067/picture034largewt0.jpg http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/463/picture035largewj1.jpg http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/6/picture036largefg5.jpg http://i...

That bumper is very salvagable, but I agree with mztykal, repainting it will look x10 better than blending.

Thankfully this is fiberglass so the actual damage repairs should be fairly easy. Sux man, good luck tho!

CF Fuel Door finally came in

These guys took forever... said the first batch was bad, and I said fine... they kept emailing me without prompting to let me know status. Sheesh, two weeks later... I get this in the mail: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/arrospeed/Neon/fuel_door_1.jpg I'm sure 2gn.org's forum software shrunk...

I remember reading an article in Sport Compact Car where they painted a WRX flat black, using spraycans, and they filled a bucket with warm water. Then they placed the spraycans in it. Said the warmer temperature raised the internal pressure inside the cans, and resulted in better atomization of the...

Arro - Not that I'm aware of... you'll need to swap. I believe dutchofsc tried to spice and it didnt work. Yeah I saw that, but then I read this: The code is back because the NVLD doesn't work correctly due to the way you installed it. With the NVLD device capped off, it can't possibly pass the lea...

That doesn't seem consistent with what I was reading on the org... or is the 2.4L SRT engine different bolt pattern than the 2.4L DOHC nonturbo from the Stratus/PT Cruiser? I had thought they were basically the same with different internals... from what I can tell, many neon peeps have bolted the 2....

Hmm reading more on the BC's they are also height adjustable, as well as spring load adjustable. AND they have camber plates. And I think that pillow ball joint is slick.

The Nex look nice, but the BC's look better, feature-wise for just a little more.

Ok so sliiiight bump... I could swear I read somewhere that '00 was NOT a computer-controlled ATX, which is why those guys on SRTfourms seek them out for their MTX-to-ATX conversions. SO, as such, an '00 should be abel to run any MTX you want, yes? So theoretically... can I run a T-850 from an SRT-4...

Good pics, thanks. I'm wondering if aftermarket true (non-sleeve) coilovers have the perch for the rear swaybar.....? I would think if I got coilovers for an SRT-4 it would, since all SRT-4's have a rear swaybar from the factory, correct?

Well yes, I know what you're talking about... it's basically what I was planning... taking the SRT struts I have and gutting them, sticking in Koni inserts, and then sleeving them. I bought the SRT struts/shocks along with an exhaust, all for 200, so I'll just say I invested $100 in them. $100 for S...

So the key here is to get the NLVD connected to the SRT PCM, yes? And the body harness does this, yes?

There has to be a way. Changing whole body harness sounds like hell, compared to running your own custom line w/ connector...

???

The more I read about this swap, the more dread I feel :(

Okay, found some Koni's for what looks to be a good price: http://www.autocarparts.com/cars/Dodge/SRT%5e4/ALL/Koni/ Shipping ground is around $12, so under $325 for the pair of inserts. Grinding off the spring perch makes sense if I plan to use sleeves. I know from my DSM days that they used to do i...

What's going to fit in my '00 bumper without lots of modification? Anyone here have an SE (or similar R/T) bumper with an IC in it? Pics?

Alarm Remote?

I see a few alarm remotes for "00-03 neon". My Neon doesn't have a remote, but then again it might have (I am not the first owner), but it does have that security key thing and the alarm does go off if you lift the hood or try to open a locked door when locks are engaged. Was a remote typically incl...
