Yeah, "jrock" is my friend Jason, we're both Nissan S12 owners. Thanks but no thanks, I know now what the car is worth, and anyways I want a legit SRT-4.

So what's the deal with the PT transmission, is that an alternative to the SRT-4 trans?

Ok so after giving this more thought, I have some questions. Other car forums claim that the SRT's T850 is a bad transmission with issues... and I quote, "i have a friend with an srt-4 and he has no 3rd gear right now. so there u go." or, "i have driven a couple with 80k to 100k on them and they wer...

I am seriously leaning towards this, or selling it and buying an srt-4. If anyone wants to entertain me with offers, now is the time.

Thinking about trading my IS300 for an SRT-4

I know this is a Neon focused forum, but most of you guys seem to be pretty open-minded about other cars. I know there's still going to be some bias to this, but I still think I'll get intelligent responses. I have a 2002 IS300 in graphite grey pearl that I'm considering getting out of. Runs like a ...

Yeah these are newbie questions in a subject that has MA U elements to it. Your question is vague because you don't know enough yet to ask more specific questions, which is why we know you need to do more reading (learning).

Forgot about that, but 10 psi is to me better than low. I figured he wanted 5-7. 10 is great.

I believe pre-NGC cars were 2000-02, so you should have no problems using extra injection. What turbo and manifold were you considering?

1GN cars are important because of their impact on the car market. Maybe not as "earth shattering" as the original Mustang, but still significant. I only owned one 1GN car, but owned four 2GN cars. The looks of the original Neon is better, but the 2GN is mechanically superior. I was with you up unti...

3. A lot of these guys will tell you NO, but from what I can se of how this car works, the answer is YES. With a warning. Google "Gus Mahon" and learn about where Turbo Dodge & Chrysler began. That guy was a legend in his own time, and him and his assosiates took 80's turbo dodges to amazing output ...

Non-SRT lowering springs would probably just make you stock SRT ride height. What you lost in height from the shorter non-SRT lowering spring you will lose (some/all) when you go with the SRT's higher spring perch. SRT4 struts were designed with shorter springs and higher perches.

No offense to the OP, because he sounds reasonable... but this WAS an economy car. In fact, it was their LOWEST priced car at the time. The fact that it could be had with premium sound, leather interiors, and a high-output engine is a big deal considering that. Also, the state of both the company an...

I think it would be cheaper and easier to make the cheap Ebay mirror options look not so cheap (paint, etc.) than it would be to try to make Stratus mirrors work.

Is the gelcoat (somewhat) flexible? Will the...

www.raxles.com I don't think this is un-doable. But as a former DSM guy, I would never do this. Personally I think the Chrysler four cylinder engines are more stout, flow great, and have plenty of potential. If anything, I'd rather stuff a 2.4L DOHC Chrysler turbo engine into a 2G DSM :P BUT... the ...

Actually it's kinda cool that a lot of us on here are above 35. On Club-S12, we have a lot of 20-somethings. Which considering that those are 80's cars, it always amazes me that they weren't even born when those cars were in the showroom lol
