I was going to ask if you swapped the cam magnet but I figured since it was running, tho not well, that you did, but if it runs w/o the sensor... I guess it would run but the fuel isn't injected at the right phase. The pcm needs the cam signal to know when to fire the injectors. Was the timing 90* o...

Hmmm. Does it go away when the brakes are applied? if it only does it in one direction, possibly the hub bearing getting a little slack letting the rotor touch the pad. you could also try lifting the front so the wheels are off the ground with suports under the lower arms so the suspension is loaded...

The Amsoil EaO Filters provide a filtering efficiency in accordance with industry standard ISO 4548-12 of 98.7 percent at 15 microns and is even 75% efficient at 10 Micron. The EaO series will do it for 10K EASY. Your othe...

Make sure you are running premium pump fuel. Detonation may be the reason your not noticing any gains if you are running poor fuel. I noticed the change as soon as I installen my AFX Street/Strip PCM. True, If there is a more agressive spark curve, the knock sensor will prevent it fom happening if ...

 If your cam gear was off 90* do a compression check, you may have valve issues. Always turn motor by hand at least two revolutions, and recheck timing. but thats beside the point now. Working alright. I have other underlying problems though. MY oil pump is starting to go out so I'm using a thicker oil to help keep my pressure up a little till I get it changed out. I was thinking about the higher idle when moving, it's possibly designed to idle a little higher so the engine doesn't stall resulting in loss of control due to increased steering effort. But over 1200 RPM would be too much. The engine dying while moving seems to be the #1 complaint in some consumer...

iirc the lock-up saves wear and tear on the tranny by locking the tranny to the motor in a 1:1 at highway cruising speeds. for whatever reason your's ain't doing it. imagine the decrease in wear by the valve body not doing the work while motoring along at 70mph. It won't save any wear on the valve ...
