I know the automatics have a very bad rep, but confession time. I beat the piss out of my auto, and it's got 100k on it and still is going strong. That question the person on Yahoo asked only reinforces the idea that people that know their car and what their doing (and how to maintain it) will have ...

nuh uh... A possible Indy meet would be another opportunity besides Dayton- no worries. :D :D My remark was more directed at my inability to get away from Dayton, whether it be my laziness or business! All jokes aside, I could probably talk a friend or two into coming. So I've had both Dogbone mounts in for about a week now driving, and I HATE them! I was already a little annoyed just having the upper one in, but both is just horrible. I'm looking forward to going back to stock once I get some time Friday to put new ones in. On a happier note, my issues with the i...

AGREED.... Junkyard.  The reason Chrysler is charging $1500, is because they are going to replace the ENTIRE COLUMN, rather than just change the single part that is causing the issue. From a 'liability' standpoint, I can kinda understand, why a Dealership will not want to install...

As far as the caliper goes, I would definitely just replace it. Look around too, Locally I can get one for about 25 reman. However, I would see how the pins are sliding before you put the new one on. Like sidepipe said it could very well be the brake hose.

I have a few thoughts... 1) If you're gonna put all that metal in there you might as well just have a roll cage welded in. 2) Is the neon your only option? If safety is really your concern, there are plenty of safer vehicles. I don't want to get flak for steering you away from 2gns, but if you reall...

yeah, I have had relays all over the place. same old story. I'm gonna mess around with the wiring, see if I can find a loose ground anywhere before the tow truck gets here. fortunately Dayton is within my 100 mile limit so I don't have to make the 1.5 hour drive to pick it up when it's fixed! yay.

All the conditions you mentioned are true. Fuel pump prime, everything seems copacetic, just NOTHING when the key is turned to ignition. The only ground wires disturbed have been disconnected for a long time (the one's to the struts). I don't have a multimeter to check for voltage (it's at MY house....

Hey guys, I need help and I need it quick. I've got a 2005 ATX neon. I just got done doing some chassis work today and as well, I finally put in my lower dogbone mount. ATX to MTX swap questions

I'm beginning to source parts for a manual swap. I plan to just swap in the T350, and I want to confirm that the SRT shift cables will work with the T350. I plan to use an SRT shifter and SRT pedals (they seem to be easier to find used than regular neon parts). Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks

If the vertical bushing is bad it's pretty easy to see. I have never had experience with the horizontal bushing going bad. I just always changed them when changing the vertical. If you're sure the clunk is coming from the lower end of the strut, i.e. the control arm, then I'd look at the ball joint....

If you search around here you'll see a lot of different opinions on this. My recommendation would be Tokico struts if you're going to run a lowering spring, but if you go that route you're almost better off with a set of coilovers. GR2s will definitely be better than OEM replacement, so if budget is...
