Check for the codes. Turned the key from ACC to ON three times leaving it on the last time. Codes such as p0505 should pop up where your mileage usually is under the speedometer. Get those and come back here.

Just get your money back if you can. If that means selling or scraping, then do it. A rebuild would be a hassle for a DD.
