Hey, I've been running 215/45/17's for around 20,000 KM now and no issues. You might run into a clearance issue with the rear struts but some 3 or 5mm spacers will solve that problem. As far as the tranny goes, I talked to an older friend that is a very, very smart mechanic, and he said that the ex...

I say use a marker or something to draw a line on how you want the cut out to look then cut it out with a dremel.... Then use a file or sand paper to smooth out the rough edges... The dremel can be your worest enemy and/or your best friend... True that, i remember one time it flung a piece of metal...

I already have the 215/45/17 , got em real cheap. Im just wondering if the guy was just trying to bullshit me into buying a new set of 205/40/17 by telling me stuff about transmission problems and how he won't be responsible. So I would be putting extra street on the drive train and transmission and...

185/60/15: 23.74" 205/40/17: 23.46" 215/45/17: 24.62 this is the tire height of each tire in inches, so yes the 215/45/17 combo is almost an inch taller. 215/40/17 would be better 215/40/17: 23.77" yes I realize it really is 1 inch bigger but is he bs'ing me about the transmission problems n such?

Is the tire guy bullshitting me?

So I went to a local wheel shop today to get some tires fitted. I wanted my 205/40/17 replaced with a set of used 215/45/17 I brought with me. After checking some stuff on his computer he told me that I shouldn't run 215/45/17 because its almost 1 inch larger then the stock wheel+tire size, and that...

Nothing wrong with any of those cars.

Last car just needs the cheesy srt-4 sticker on the side removed.
