Makes sense to me. What do you run in the 1/4 esteinmaier? from his garage: 0.292 2.231 6.086 9.180 80.420 11.820 14.084 101.280 Seems like everything I read is telling me i gotta get the car on a dyno and go from there if i want the n/a record edit: esteinmaier what you wrote seems to make sense b...

Well, I can't explain it either, but Mike Carpenter (Co-author of the neon book) said even though his shift point was 7600, he had to shift at 7000 into 4th so he could break into 14's. There's a point in the torque curve that it loses so much power that it's not worth revving that high even with t...

I don't have a how-to but it was very easy and took me about an hour. Make sure you rent a 3-jaw puller from autozone. You want to pull both belts off and remove the plastic shroud under the serpentine assembly. Then pull the crank bolt out and put a smaller diameter bolt in its place for the puller...

I think 15.0 if you don't break something. You really think you'll get to 4th in the 1/4? If you get alot of runs, try short shifting into 4th. Most 1gn's that need 14's even though they shift at 7500, have to short shift into 4th at 7000. With my stock 3.55 tranny and a 20" tire I'll be at 74mph i...

You ran 15.7 last time right? I dunno about 3 tenths, but its possible. You must have got a special model or something cuz 15's for an sxt is just straight quick. Keep us posted! Yessir i went 15.7 with a sixty of 2.244 on a 24" all-season tire. Next time out will be on a 20" m/t slick so the car w...

Quickest n/a NGC?

If everything goes according to plan I'll be at Atco Raceway on the 14th with some weight reduction and a little better tires than i was running last time. Just curious if anyone knows how quick the quickest naturally aspirated NGC car is/was. I think the car should be able to run 15.4 or better.

a blower for that car isn't exactly expensive...not to mention I've seen multiple later-model mustangs with ATI prochargers make the same power as LS1 bolt-on cars :runaway:
