Getting a bunch of work done. What else should I do?
So my 04 SXT is getting a bunch of work done this week that I just don't have the know-how/confidence/time/ability to do. I've always tried to do X when doing Y, since it's mainly parts at that point. Here's the list of what's being done. What else should I do? Clutch (TEB is a given) Timing Belt (W...

Dealer came back - 800+. 600 of that is the ECU. I've dug around, and I'm not finding any 04 SXT ECUs for MTX. The one posted above was available, but someone else now has dibs. I really don't want to spend 600 on a part if I don't have to. I saw autocomputerexchange.com on ebay, but the BBB had the...

Yep, he checked continuity. He's 99.9999% sure its in the PCM. Just not sure if a reflash will zap it, or if it needs replacement. I made an appt with the dealer, and they want to diagnose too. Since the tech already checked it through, should I just tell them to reflash it? And I PMed the dude on t...

Misfire #2 & #3, ECU Replacement suggested
I have a 2004 SXT MTX (Black Key). Last week, #2 and #3 were misfiring. We replaced the plugs, still happened. Wires looked tip top, so we took it to a shop I trust. After some diagnosis and replacing the coil-pack, problem didn't go away. He tested the harness to the coil-pack, and found that the s...

New tires for SXT?
Hi everyone! I see it's been covered a hundred times with various results for true performance, but not as much for us stockers. Currently, my 04 has 195/65 15s. It's time for new tires. The old me would solely go for performance, and not care about anything else. But .... Pregnant wife (and inevita...

New from MN
Howdy folks!
Newbie from Southern MN here. Picked up an 04 SXT. Probably won't mod it much as I don't foresee the wife letting that creep into the budget.
But I'll try!
Sure to be around often.
