does anyone know if the width of the wheel affects the tire you use.

i have 215/35/18 now on a 7.5'' width wheel if i go to a 7'' wheel will i need a diff tire or will mine still work?

so by that link it sounds like getting some 18x7.5 with a smaller offset such as 35mm instead of mine 45mm offset it will bring the wheel out and will solve my problem right?

i want to keep my tires so i would just change out the wheel and not the whole setup. id rather do this than get spacers.
