Grab voltage from the Run circuit (your stereo for eg.) put it to a relay that disables the backup light/ dome light mod. That way, if your car is running, the backups won't follow the dome. I wouldn't mess with speed sensors.

There is a brief mention on page 12-4,3 in the Haynes manual..

Oh, and I forgot, chances are the Alt wire does run straight back to the main fuse box, Electrical drawings aren't always the correct points that the physical wires connect.

Ahh good, Then they aren't that different after all. The Haynes book...... Is it me, or is this one a little on the lean side compared to previous books (and what the hell is the little rad thing I have below my firewall). The separate wire would be the one you are looking for (should be black/grey ...

I'm more familiar with doing it with more traditional Alts that had a single red wire going to them, Looking at the diagrams above from the FSM, you have 3 wires coming from the alt, Dk Green, Dk Green/Orange and Black/Grey. The black/grey is the one that looks to be carrying the voltage back. If th...

If you want to test the alternator now, fire it up, and meter the voltage from the Alt, to ground. If it isn't 13.8v (standard 12v automotive) then the alt isn't outputting the correct voltage. This bypasses all the wiring. If you can, disconnect the 12v lead from the alt. this will remove any possi...

I'd love to get a set of the smoked ones, but the shipping price to canada on all of the ones on ebay is rediculous. Those are the ones I put on mine (black neon) they are the same design as #2, but were ~ 44$ shipped. My OEM ones had issues, some idiot (previous owner) glued the driver side one on...

Black/Lt Green is Intermittent Wiper Control, is it possible you used this wire by accident? or did you take it right at the PCM? Also, pin 31 on the PCM (Tan) -> pos should show +12v when you are trying to start it. (this is the PCM allowing the car to start, no 12v then you should be looking for w...

Is it a surging or is it high RPM's until you do something (like a stuck idler).

That will teach them to not come up with a new acronym and just extend the old one. I don't know if that's what he meant, Just figured that by the comment "a new mobo or PCI graphics card instead" he meant either or, and you can't put a PCIe card into a PCI/AGP motherboard.

I would never go with a PCI card, the bandwidth is insufficient for games etc..

Maybe just a new board/ram w/ onboard video that you could upgrade later..

You will be hard pressed to use the DDR ram, DDR2 has taken over. Same goes with AGP/PCIe.

You could try This as a transitional motherboard. It's S775, allows for DDR2 or DDR, AGP or PCIe. so it really allows you to swap out what you want when you want.

3.2" for dual 2.25's. But all the same, the dual 2.25's output is matched to the 3" input (ie, what goes in, can get out without it being a bottleneck)

I use both interchangeably, However I mainly say "cart" or "shopping cart". For an example, "She crashed the cart into my Achilles tendon".. I've always associated "buggy" to be a more slang term.

I would start with the wires like infil said. That's what happened to my work van, moisture/condensation caused them to ground out resulting in a no start (until the weather got cold enough to freeze them)
