If you burn 1litre of gas sitting @ idle / tank (this is extreme), Fill up every week, that's 52$ savings per year. But let's say you burn out a starter per year to do it. It's now cost you much more then you saved. Not to mention the oil settling and causing wear, the wear on the battery and all th...

Mosfet is a type of amplifier, Similar to JFET. Basically a high powered transistor. Pretty sure most amps now are MOSFET powered. DAC is Digital to Analogue Converter. A whole novel could be written on the tech behind the phrases. Canadian tire sells the wiring harness for your car for ~ 10-12$. Yo...

well not everyone has money to go on a track. How do u think alot of ppl test their cars? The Interstates are quite empty at nite...even certain state routes like 301 South thru charles county. There are so many ppl who break 100 everyday when ur driving and u dont crash into them. Do u skid to the...

I picked up some TRZs. Very happy with the performance, I looked at the T rating, 118MPH (190KPH) and laughed.. I would never take it close to that.. If I was tracking it, or something of the kind, I probably wouldn't be running stock anything. I'm with Frank/Wayne on this, and I'm glad I'm up above...

Trying to break her and her new man up makes him look like a desperate loser/stalker, and will probably make her hate him, no matter how romantic he may think it would be. This thread was over with the first response. (except for the hood rat thing.) She will resent him, regardless of success of fa...

I can see coolant all over the front control arms and on the oil pan too, but I cant pinpoint where its coming from. Ha, when I had spewing AF, it was all over my windshield (came up through some vents since I was on the highway).. Probably the easiest way to find it is to make sure it has some liq...

My Brother in law had a Topaz that would eat batteries. The Alt. was 1/2 dead. It would drain the batteries w/o the car even being on.. (and it would still charge w/ the car running). If you have the car off, and an ammeter available.. You can take a fuse out and connect the ammeter to each side of ...

50w x 4 is misleading, that is Peak power, most are 22w x 4 RMS (constant) which works very well with factory speakers, if you are looking for a bit more kick, you can always upgrade the rear 6x9's and use an amp for them to get them up a bit in power.. 6x9 are a good source of bass.. (tho no where ...

I picked up a Pioneer DEH-P4900IB for 150$ from Futureshop (on sale of course), currently it's 170$ on sale at Canadian Tire. It offers more upgrade ability then the Sony unit (Sat. Radio, Ipod control, USB module, Bluetooth module .. ) Canadian tire is definately a good place to get the harness (ma...

if you are looking for an all-season in that size, then i would suggest the Yokohama AVID TRZ. I love this tire. We get a bit of snow here, certainly not a lot, but when we do I don't worry. Its relatively inexpensive too. IIRC ~$60/tire from tirerack. x2 I haven't tested the snow part, but wet tra...
