If I had the money I'd so sell my SXT to get an SRT-4. Everything I'm doing to the SXT is to make it more like an SRT so I'd probably save a boat load of cash buy just getting an SRT and be done with it. I think in this day and age of high gas prices an SRT-4 is just about the ultimate.

I wouldn't necessarly be getting on it at EVERY stop light but it'd be nice to have an lsd for those times when I'd go to the "Test n' Tunes" at the local 1/8th just to have a bit better traction off of the line. Also, an lsd would probably help to stop toqure steer somewhat. I just figure it'd migh...

Okay I just found this thread. SUPER PUMPED. Some questions... So what I'm understanding is that soon enough you'll be building kits that ship to our house for us to install? Could we use a smaller intercooler? So it fits better? Is my car having the magnum motor make any difference? 3K even? Can I...

For $40K I could pick up an SRT-4 and have a Stage III turbo upgrade installed AND buy somekind of "other" car to build into a drag racer to run at the local 1/8th mile. That way I'd have a nice, fairly fast street car to drive and something really quick to play with at the track and I still wouldn'...

I assumed, after someone else chimed in. SRT-4s gears are REALLY short, at least the amount of time it takes to go through them. :P The T-850 in the SRT should be the same as in the R/T, i.e. 3.94:1. I'd like a set of shorter gears in my SXT not only for acceleration but for all the slow drivers th...

You can always run a semi-synthetic blend. We have a Motorcraft Blend that's just .10 cents more a quart then the dino Castrol that I'm using now an about a buck and change cheaper then other blended oil . I'll probably switch to it and run 4K miles per change instead of 3K like I've been doing. As ...

A man's got to know his limitations, even when dreaming. I think the SRT-4 is about right for what I want and what I can afford in the future. Sure, if money were no object and gas was a buck a gallon I might want something like a '69 Mustang Mach I with the Boss 429 but that's not a realistic dream...

2005, Black, no real mods but did have Falkan 205/50/17's on it. IIRC the Magna would go 12.30's in the 1/4 so , yes, with a Stage III the SRT would be faster. I wish I could hit the lotto, I'd buy that car in a heart beat. I want an SRT now more then ever. I'm going to put a UDP pulley and a header...

They want $17k for it, I think that's a bit high. I'd probably go $15K if they'd do a bit of work on it(it pulls to the right a bit and the engine looks like it needs a good detailing) and if I could get $2K out of our mini van in trade. Then my wife could drive my SXT and I'd have the SRT. I can't ...

WOW!!!!!! Local Dodge dealer has one in so I took it for a little test drive. It's pretty much stock but danged if it didn't feel like a rocket. Hit 90mph getting onto the freeway in the middle of 3rd gear, my SXT takes the top of 4th to get 90. I wasn't used to the lower rev. limiter and bounced it...

Well, since I started working at AutoZone I did some checking and I can get a complete set of Gabrial Ultra struts for about $200 bucks with my discount. One nice thing about the way the filter mounts up, you can pre-fill it with oil so you won't have a dry start up. I can't do that on my wife's Caravan with the 2.4L because the filter is horizontal. As for part numbers, Standard STP is S3614, the S3600 is the same dia. but longer, it's just shy of b...

So the 3616 would be an even better choice then the 3600? I know the 14 and 3600 are the same dia. but the 3600 is longer. So the 16 is the same length of the 14 just larger in dia. so it'll do about the same as the 3600 then? Now for the million dollar question, what filter can I use on my Husqvarn...

Like everyone said, normally the 2.0L will take 4.5 qts. I used an STP S3600 on my last change instead of the standard S3614 because I wanted a larger filter and I only needed another 1/8th qt. to top off. Just don't over fill it or you'll blow a seal.

How about a few weeks ago when Tony Pedregon's car exploded and blew the body totally off and he walked away with a slightly burned hand. If we could get the safety that they put into these race cars into our road cars the death rate would drop a lot.

For the rpm that I'll be running the stock 52mm will work just fine, I can spend my money on a cam or header so what I do have will breath a bit better. TB wise, I've got plenty even if it is plastic.

Makes you really appreciate the engine builders in NASCAR, they push those engines at 8500-9000 rpm for 400-500 miles almost non-stop.
