Which solid motor mounts?

Didn't really know where to put this so I'll put it here. I'd like to get a solid upper and lower motor mount for my '05 SXT for better traction and because it's a part that simply won't ware out, unlike the stock mounts. I saw a pair on the Moden Preformance web site but they say they're for the SR...

Found a shift knob that'll work.(pic added)

http://store.go-fast-parts.com/5707231.html Found this shift knob at AutoZone and it works great. Be aware that if you want to use the screws to hold it on you'll have to take quite a bit off of em' before the lower collar will screw onto the knob. I got tired of trying to make the screws work and ...

OOOh, Blue Jacket country. Don't worry, I won't hold it against ya'.LOL. The Nashville Predators and Blue Jackets are a heck of a rivalry. You want to see a good Hockey game watch these two teams go at it. Anyway, from one newbie to another, Welcome to the forum.

I know, there's a big hole in the top of the boot where the stock shift knob goes thru it. I thought I could make something up that'd have the stock shifter OD with a groove in it for the boot to fit into like on the stock shifter and drill it out for the shift lever to fit thru, kind of a boot plug...

They probably have you fill out something listing your mods so they can know just how much to tweak the ECM. Granted, if you're like most of us you'll be doing more engine mods in the future so you'd have to recalibrate at a later date. They also listed this: http://www2.partstrain.com/v5/products.p...

What's the deal with this?

http://www2.partstrain.com/v5/products.php?N=10025+1607+4294967024+7065 This isn't the crappy piggy back deal that Jet makes. I hear that your ECM will learn that plug in chip and re-program it's self back to factory tuning. This looks like they do a mod on your factory chip then send it back to yo...

My only problem(besides getting the money for the Micro) would be finding someone to hook it all up and help me tune everything in.
Why can't someone just make a chip for the '05. :banghead:

LOL, I've had the Car modding bug for a long time. It went dormant for quite a few years what with getting married and all but I feel the burn again since I picked up this Neon. My wife just don't understand it. But then she's just a girl, LOL.

I think someone here has just that intake setup, but for 50 why not, a K&N drop in filter is like 40-50 bucks, and you will get the same gains as doing that and removing the top of your box and resonator - same sound as well, just that this one looks prettier. That's pretty much what I did. Hey, if it wasn't dangerous everyone would be doing it. Sometimes you only really live when you live life on the edge. Hope you get well soon and are ok. Don't give up, if you like racing get out there and do it, just make sure to be as safe as you can be.

So what kind of clubs do we have in the Mid-Tennessee area?

So are there any Neon or even Dodge clubs in the mid-Tennessee area? I'd like to hook up with a decent club since I think it'd be a lot of fun to attend events and help each other out modding our rides. Anything going on or am I pretty much on my own?

From what I've read it's illegal to remove an air bag from your wheel so I'd go with the 03-05 wheel. I've got an 05 SXT and I think the wheel is pretty nice. Choice is up to you in the end.

9.5 is what alot of the Local SRT-4 owners run in the eighth. So um.. good luck. My best is a 7.7 @91mph.. well anyways welcome to 2gn.org Dang, we REALLY need to talk. That's some great numbers. I know I'm asking a lot from a 2.0L but maybe I can get into the low 10's if nothing else, that'd be gr...

Not sure yet, I'll have to see what they've got. I'm thinking something round, carbon fiber or grey in color, something that'll feel good, no metal that'll get cold in the winter. I have a couple ideas in mind all of which use a plastic insert and a set screw which isn't the best way to mount a shif...

What about the Micro Squrit?

How does it compare to the Mega Squrit? I have a basically stock '05 SXT and since no one makes a chip for it my only option is something like a Micro or Mega Squirt to adjust the timing and fuel air mixture. How hard would something like that be to install and would the probram work on a Mac or wou...

Using epoxy to hold on a shift knob.

I'd like to get a new shift knob for my '05 SXT but I hate the way they want you to use a set screw to hold it on. I was thinking that I could get some 2 part epoxy to glue it onto the shift lever, that way it's not going any place. I did this on a Ford F-250 truck that had a lose shift knob and it ...

Yep, and make sure you get out the toqure wrench and toqure em' to specs. I just replaced the plugs in my '05 SXT and the plugs were no where near as tight as they should have been. For my year it's 13 ft/lbs, in the older cars the book calls for 20 ft/lbs.
Don't forget the anti-sieze either.

I never would have thought that there was such a big following for the Dodge Neon. I've had Air Cooled VW Bugs before and they're like a cult but a Neon Cult, wow. This is great. I can have my gas mileage and still have a peppy little American Made Tuner to run around in too. We don't have emissions...

Howdy from Tennessee.

Just swapped my '04 Dodge Ram 1500 for an '05 SXT and some cash. Now I'm going to fix that little sucker up and run it in the 1/8th mile. My goal is to beat a guy that's running a Mustang there who runs 9.5's. Don't know if I can do it or not but I'm going to give it a try. Also, I'm on a budget sin...
