Thanx for the info on the evo hood. I thought the openings were right over around the intake maifold of the neon? Anywho, even when it was warmer outside, i could notice a differance in temps by hand on the intake manifold. This morning, it was very cold. After 15+ miles of driving (city stuff mainl...

EVERYBODY (i mean EVERYBODY! even the exhaust shop i had my custom exhaust done at) Thinks my car is turboed. The intake and exhaust sound turboed. But not once has ANYBODY ever asked if i have an SRT-4 :( I guess that could be a good thing.

Got a little time this weekend to make something to see if it would be worth while to persue the idea of the intake / radiator heat sheild. I started out with some heavy-duty cardboard. Made kind of a prototype out of it. Driving around several times now with fully warmed car. First thing i noticed ...

Im not claiming to gain no power! BUT on the butt dyno, WOT 49mm stock VS 60mm aftermarket, there is very small differance. Kind of the like the differance between putting on low restriction muffler. Didnt make a HUGE differance. My CAI made more of a differance. 3.5HP gain is not very much. It seem...

rubberized undercoat works, but is clumpy, take a long time to dry (LONG ass time), and i dont think it would hold in the temps. I use undercoat a lot for stereo applications, and try to avoid when possible.. THIS STUFF: IT sprayed JUST like a thicker spray paint... not thick where its shooting clum...

Experiment: Plasticoat spray paint on intake system

I want to keep my intake system looking somewhat "stock" so i wanted to paint it black. I also noticed a lot of warmth from after the TB till the head (hotter the closer to the head). At home depot today, I saw the tool plastic dip (dip in tools to make handles and what not). They also had it in a s...

Lorenzo 60mm TB - Smooth RPM, firm feel, responsive, no gain

Much like having a STS and boogers... firmer feel, shorter throw... but no real gain. The RPM range feels a smooth(er), but i didnt notice any butt-dyno performance. I opened it up quite a few times to make sure... yup... if it gained any HP, i didnt notice it. I got this unit used for $170 shipped,...

Yeah, i think $100 is a bit overpriced for its purpose. Figure the meterials probably only cost them $20 to make, then they gotta make their money for time and machinery, so i would say $60 would be a more ideal price. If they drop the price, i may consider it.

Anything that could be wired up to a stock electrical system can be un-wired. O boy! This could get ugly... One thing i must say (you may or may not agree with me on this) Is you cannot scientificly call Intelligent Design a theory. A theory is something that must be testable. Since we have a lack of any evidence that proves there is a creator, its a hypothosis. Theory: "the ...

"Heat sheild" so Radiator doesnt heat up Intake

Origionaly i posted this on neons.org, but want to broaden the search/response... Was curious if this has been made yet. Just some shield that helps blow the air under the intake manifold as apposed to directly on to it. Asking this because i went from my nice cool plastic stock one to my beefy, but...
