I say It all depends on when and where you get it from. I bought my complete set for $300 and that was including new rotors and pads.

trimming the rack???? How would you do that and why would you trust it after it was done? Getting the srt rack is easier its not always the cheapest route but its the guaranteed way of getting it done the right way.

take the parts back and show them. Any GOOD painter wouldnt have a problem re-painting something that they did improperly. Well at least the painters i go to.

the red tab is the release tab and u slide it, it only moves a lil it doesnt come apart and then u push down on the clips and it should slide off

I just turned the key off and on and it finally turned off and never worked again. lol

then sell ur car once ur done........ ok maybe not but i would look at ur belts and also check ur valve cover and oil pan gaskets those seem to need replacing around that time if u have never done so.

control arm bushings, ball joint, ur rim could be bent, the rack and pinion could be busted up internally, ur wheel bearing could be shot, etc etc double check everything.

ur best bet is to have a shop that does that type of work do it. so u dont have worry about anything and if u have any issues u can go back to them.
