The most effective way is to learn to tune a car and use a standalone engine management ECU such as the megasquirt. It can make you a bit more power, but more importantly, it will allow you to tune the fuel mixture leaner when you are at cruise throttle positions, and the stock ECU can't fight with...

Noob - ACR modding for whp
I have to admit that I'm a bit of a noob in this department. But I've done a lot of reading and research on this form and the Dodge Forum and have come up with the following ideas for mods. My ACR is completely stock except for a Mopar Performance PCM. My goal is to increase whp without loosing gas ...

Nice, I love it - oh, and he told me it came with no stereo and AC, so I assume he has the rare 1 of 11 silver ACR's with no option. :D :D :D That's correct, it came with no a/c or stereo (infiniti speakers and a cd player were added later). Where do you go to find out how many ACR's in my trim wer...

Help - Weird vibration in door
My driver-side door just started making a really weird vibrating noise. The noise stops if I roll the window all/part of the way down. How can I fix it?

Nope. Your car doesn't have an external fuel filter, just a pick up filter at the bottom of the fuel pump. According to Chrysler it should be a lifetime filter  If you have to change a fuel pump assembly, you will get the filter on it. Lifetime? I guess they don't want me to drive my car more...

Thanks for the quick reply Danteneon. The timing belt was checked by an independent mechanic that used to work for MOPAR. How it was checked, I have no idea as I'm not a mechanic. This guy just happens to be one of the only reliable independent mechanics around. As for the brakes, probably bad lingo...

100k miles - newbie
Hey everyone. I just purchased a nearly stock 2001 ACR. What kind of maintenance is recommended at this point? It looks and sounds perfect. I had the timing belt checked and its set to go for at least another 30k miles. The brakes are new and have been calibrated. Fluid levels all check out fine (ev...

Question, how do I post pictures on 2gn.org? I have some pictures on photobucket of my car, but where do I go from here? In response to Overdrive418- Timing belt is still in perfect condition and the fluids have been flushed. CV joints are great. - Where is the fuel filter on the ACR? It's not in th...

o3blackrt, a Mopar performance chip is a $400 PCM (ECU) replacement that generates more aggressive engine timing and increases the stock rev limit. The fuel tips/nozzles were "loosened" so that the fuel comes out more as a mist than a stream, if that makes sense. Maybe I'm just using the wrong lingo...
