valve cover gasket
I've done a fair amount of searching with little luck, so forgive if this is a repost... I've had my valve cover gasket and tube seals replace two or three times now because of oil leaks. Again, I had it checked out by a mechanic who said this was the cause. Typically, I've had midas (i know i know)...

Help with Brake Lights?
So last week I find 2 of my tires have enormous bubbles in them, so i bring the car to Firestone (outrageous price, but I had to go on a business trip that night and they were the only store still open after 7). Not only do they replace my tires but also tell me that my back wheel is about to fall o...

Update::: Thanks to you guys for the info...I did the cut and splice method. The wires of course were different colors. one was black and gray and the other was red and green. But I got it to work first try. The right side is done now; I'll work on the other side later maybe. I also have the dashboa...

door speakers
So a friend of mine had some kicker speakers that he bought brand new, the premium srt door ones. He got a good deal on some other ones he wanted so he passed the kickers off on me. I was all set to put them in when...the wiring harness in the door for the old speaker didnt fit right. I'm sure I'm n...

I'm a little late but I just got my A/C fixed the other day so here: Mine was out for a good 3 years and my regular mechanic didn't want anything to do with it (now ex-mechanic). After work one day I took it over to midas which I never do because I'm wasn't all that comfortable with the whole franch...

Theres a lotion sort of stuff that does the trick pretty well, it just doesn't last too long. My dad's car had terrible headlights he could only see a little glow when he was driving at night so when he was at a body shop for another car they recommended this cream. I forget what its called but if y...

I recommend an auxillary tranny cooler for the transmission. They only run $40 or so dollars. Prolongs the life of the 3 speed ATX.

1: agreed with diablo, check your voltages at the horn, make sure you are getting 12volts when the horn is pressed. If not, its time for wire tracing to find out why 2: Also agreed, is your compressor trying to turn on at all? If you switch the system to defrost or A/C the compressor should start t...

2. It could be overfilled if you tried to add some. Does the compressor kick on when you turn the AC on? The heating system is for the most part completely independent of the AC system. thanks for the input, I just figured the heat works so it probably wasn't the dashboard switches (or atleast it w...
