fuel economy has a lot of variables. weather, driving conditions, etc. on the sticker the mileage is an estimate. if you want you can change the plugs with regular copper plugs. i used to say stock champions but im not too sure on that anymore. ngk seems to be a good plug. a lot of times unusually l...

5w40

I am considering using M1 5w40 in my neon. I have a number of reasons to use it but I am looking for reasons that would make me regret using this oil. I understand fuel economy may suffer a little, and even if it does drop 1 or 2 mpg i would still be above 30 mpg which is ok with me.

i believe you would want 205/55/15 for a tire that is pretty much the same as stock. also 5000 is too high of a launch without slicks. 3000 or 3500 works pretty good. spinning a little is ok, but spinning a lot is bad.

15s with a stock neon is very very hard. i was close kindof. a tenth is a long way to go without making extra power. you would need perfect air. and even then i dont know if its possible. nothing against trying though as for tires. i just got 4 new yokohama avid trz's in the stock 185/60/15 size and...

well i changed the plug wires, they were some that my dad got off the internet cheap. the were $30 or so. now my little issue is gone. in your first post you said that you know the wires are good, what qualifies this statement? my car has 37000 miles on it and even though they are not due until 6000...

mobil 1 filters are far superior than mopar filters. but mobil 1 filters are $10/ea. a purolator or a wix or an ac delco filter is only slightly "worse" ("worse" because they are all great filters) than the mobil 1 and they cost less than half of a mobil 1 filter. mobil 1 now has a 5w20. even though...

i ran a 16.11 stock with a k&n filter in the stock box. i think an udp would get me almost there. i bet a magnum cam would do the trick.

not too bad. could be a little quicker. practice will make your shifting and launching quicker. i was able to run a 16.11 with just a k&n air filter in the stock box. keep practicing and you might get better

(.35 is 35 hundreths, .035 is 35 thousandths <---...

Right to Repair Act

I became aware of this through another forum I visit, www.montecarloss.com. This seems like a good thing if it goes through. Below is the post that was made at the other site. I am not taking credit for finding out about this act, just spreading the word. You can also go to www.house.gov and search ...

any synthetic is fine. supertech, penzoil, mobil1, etc. i personally do 5000 oci with mobil1 because it is the cheapest (besides supertech syn). i can go to wally world and get a 5 qt jug for $21 then go to advance and get a purolator filter for $3.50 and im set. i personally havent worked up the co...

my dad uses stock replacement champs in his stratus and my moms neon and they have never had a problem. another thing, what is the benefit of running such a large plug wire on a neon (i understand the point if it is a very high output engine). the reason i ask is because on my race car (small block ...

if you dont care about new or used i know local tire shops in my area sell used tires for about $35 each. but if you want new then the only option is to get them through tirerack. they are about $50 cheaper per tire especially if you can mount and balance them yourself. i wish you were closer to me,...
