Re: 2003 SRT DD

I did some reading on the SRT Forums and I guess it's really common to booger that lip up. As long as the seal gets pushed in flush, it doesn't leak. I'm not worried about it anymore. I'm more concerned about installing the new seal; it looks like it's going to be a pain. It will indeed be a pain t...

Re: Manny's 96 turbo coupe: 1/2/2019 update

plan on painting that fuel rail cover like black or red? Looks out of place being silver. Could just be the angle but when I first glanced at the picture it looks like someone just layed a flat piece of aluminum over the fuel rail. Could just be the rectangular cutout of it. dig the ACR cutout/deca...

Re: 2003 SRT DD

You didn't have to seperate the strut from the knuckle to change out the axle. Trust me, I've done it dozens of times myself. Next time just make sure the tie rod is off the knuckle and pop the control arm ball joint apart from the knuckle and the entire strut knuckle is free to move as you need. Al...

Happy new years to the neon family still out here posting keeping the forum alive. [emoji16]. Heres just 2 small things I've done recently. 1 is a new fuel rail cover. 2 is fixing my sagging front bumper. It's higher all around even up front. That is all for now. Don't know yet what changes I'll mak...

Re: sidepipe87: A few overdue updates

Wow, a big change from a little over three years ago. I hope that the new owner treats the car well- not like, "it's just a Neon". I think the new owner is treating it right. This is a picture from the new owner who had it posted up on a Facebook page. Seeing as it's in a garage, I believe it will ...

Idk If I'll make it or not. But the Buffalo wild wings we ate at last time was probably a better eat place for the group. Red Robins isn't big group friendly or for how loud the group can get etc. Just a thought.

Re: Manny's 96 turbo coupe: 8/20/18 update

Shiney gauges. You plan on doing your cluster with LED's? And yes the dual is better then the frog eyed ones. Keep your eyes on the road better with them there. I deleted and reuploaded a better pictureof the gauges from my last post. I didn't have my camera setting correct on my phone which is why...

You must have a boost leak. You need to book leak test.

What psi were you pushing with the stock intercooler before..?

I know the stock intercooler sucks but not enough to make that big a difference.

And here I was dismayed to notice (a few weeks ago during a lighting check) that the front side markers don't blink with the turn signals. I always thought that they did. Now I really wish that I had the BUX repeater turn signals on the front fenders. Back on topic- why would you want to do this? I...

And here we are. I decided to just screw it on and paint the pillar to match. Didn't feel like doing the custom mold it make it look one piece. Forget all that. I ripped out so much old wiring. Redid the wiring and all is good. I already love this setup. Much easier to view the 2 gauges. https://upl...

Re: Manny's 96 turbo coupe: 8/14/18 update

I had that pod in one of my old Neons. It made for a bit of a blind spot, but it wasn't terrible. It didn't take long to acclimate to it. I actually like the look of the frog pod better, but I can see how it would block the other gauges a bit. That could get annoying, having to tilt your head to re...

Wow, that will get your attention! Hahaha. Yes it will. And I'm currently looking at getting a dual gauge pillar pod to remove my frog eye pod. I've come to hate my frog eye pods. Why do you hate the frog eye pods?? They're fine. You can see your gauges plenty clearly in the shot below: https://far...

Don't bother. You won't gain anything from putting bigger injectors in your car. It's worthless and a waste of time.

Good luck.

Your only option is either a Aem fic or MegaSquirt. There is no tuning the stock ecu.

If the fans are working as they should then it's maybe your water pump is just weak and not flowing enough.

I recently did this. I had my hotside pipe 90 off the turbo over and next fit the cam gears and back down to the intercooler. Well in my attempt to clean up the engine bay I decided to run it under the engine like srt4 style. So I removed both the back engine to trans brace and the oil pan to trans ...
