Good point, although the ability to change just the disc or pressure plate could be cheaper for broke racers. I believe you also lose the option of a lightweight flywheel with the modular, I may be wrong though. it would make sense seeing that a lighter flywheel doesnt have the same strength (do i ...

As far as the clutch spring hub issue, a new clutch disk would be needed. But unless you convert to the '95 style clutch, it takes a modular clutch, ie: flywheel/disk/pressure plate pre-assembled. Buying a new modular clutch is still cheaper than sourcing the '95 parts, and is slightly easier to in...

I have seen several clutches sprung hubs have a spring decide to exit its normal location. On my car it kept the fingers from fully disengaging and caused the exact same problems you are describing. You can start it but every gear is nasty. I've also seen broken flexplates cause the same issue. The...

Honestly man, I don't live terribly far away from you. You need to find out how far the motor is done-for. If the timing belt went, but didn't damage the pistons too bad, you can buy a used magnum head for $300, and we can have a get-together and swap the head in a few hours, and get you back up an...

Re: Need opinion on price
What do you think this car is worth. Im buying the car for less than $2,000. I was looking for a 2nd car just in case my 01 srt swapped car ever had a problem I would have a backup. I can get a black rear bumper for $65 locally, and I would probably have a bodyshop fix the rear quarter panel. I hav...

Re: Need opinion on price
What do you think this car is worth. What do you think this would be sold for? Im considering one that has minor rear damage. I was planning on fixing it and possibly reselling it in the spring or summer if I decide not to keep it. I want to know what you think this car is worth repaired? Title is ...

I'd say knock the price down to $3200 Canadian and have that dealer do the tensioner, timimg belt + waterpump for you. It's preventative maintenance since you'd need to do the timing belt + pump in another 20K miles anyway. Try that and see if they bite? Later Allex ^^^^++++++2 definitely for the p...
