ah - interesting difference (again) between the domestic and bux neons :D I think it is worth to let the trany be overhauled if it is out once. On the other hand, if you plan to swap to manual I wouldn´t waist money on this overhaul if the atx is working anyhow and as long as needed until the mtx-sw...

ok, no one ? Today I have been at a garage with a DRBIII to let them try to program the remotes on the SRT-RKE-Modul installed on my 2000 BUX neon. But this failed. The DRBIII recognized the 2004 RKE (as a 2004 RKE), but programming procedure won´t work, though the remotes were working. Further the ...

random swaps and adds of modules
ok - I think let´s start the thread here and maybe move it to how-to or make it a sticky if finished for everyone who is interested in such things. As I´m doing a couple of strange things on my neons I always wonder how does it work and which modules are related. e.g. Autostick needs the autostick-s...

Do you maybe know where the keys/transponders are stored ? Maybe the same as for the RKE the remotes are stored at the pcm, are the keys/ transponders stored at the pcm as well ? I thought of swapping my pcm to another one and wanted to keep the original keys (sure) and the original skim-module. And...

UPDATE and a few more details - get something to derust the control arms. The two screws on the rear are really long and heavy, I took a really long ratchet (50cm) and the M24 nut. http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Querlenker/5623.jpg http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Querlenker/5626.jpg For preventing th...

by the way - if you were looking for RHD-cars you could have an height adjustable right seat as well and the left seat might not be as worn as on LHD cars usually is :D The picture is from the seats I bought from uk years ago. Shipping was really expensive to germany, but that time it was hard to fi...

The Chrysler-emblem is fixed on the grille - so no separate part here. Just the airbag-emblem could be changed separately :) The RT has not officially been sold in germany, so no lip on the german frontbumpers. I´ll look out for the tails and how many sets I find, definitely one but sure I have two ...

Ok - your modellyear 2000 (I meant date of built 1999) has the 1st-gen-style-front bumper. Here in europe/ germany they always sold the neon with your 2001-style-front-bumper without sidemarkers http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Kelbra2010/1581.jpg and the rear with foglights http://www.dodgeowners.de/...

I changed it from Chrysler to Dodge - so always everyone wants what the others have... For the front you only have to get a Chrysler-Grille and that´s all, except you want to delete your sidemarkers  For the rear you would need a Bux-bumper to have the rear-foglights if you need/ like together ...

I never had any problems with the self-cancelling indicator mechanism when removing the MFS or clockspring for some reasons until now. I never heard of anything special to take care of when installing. Maybe it´s not a bad idea to take the new MFS out and have a careful look if you can see something...

Don´t worry, if you need more than half an hour you´re doing something wrong- it must be a direct fit. Have been at my basement comparing and making some pictures. All you need is a 03 up steering wheel, the clockspring for this, airbag and cruise-control-stick - voila. Only question is if the resis...

Disconnect the battery for a long while, find any screws to remove the airbag/ hornswitch, disconnect and remove, get a puller-tool (the one which looks like a pretzel works fine), unscrew the nut, pull the steering wheel. something like that :D btw. have you seen this- http://forum.2gn.org/viewtopi...

http://forum.2gn.org/viewtopic.php?t=58129 there you´ll find some pictures. The SRT-steering-wheel is interchangeable with at least the 04 SXT one, so I´m sure it fits to the 02 as well. The horn-plug, I actually don´t know, airbag-plug and stick-plug are definitely different. Cruisecontrol is alway...

Seems to be really normal on 4-speed. My SXT does this as well. Usually something around 600 +-50. But I notice if I switch AC on or steer the idle goes up a bit. If Ishift in neutral the idle goes onto 800 or something. My manual LE always runs at about 900, I believe same on a 3-speed, but could g...
