Yeah, now, as you say it, I believe, there has to be a tool for that work.
Could you post some pictures and/ or part-number for the one you have ?
Apart from that it could succesfully be done if you are very careful.

PCM-Plug on ngc-Neons
Because the black PCM-plug has been damaged by the accident on my SXT I had to care about fixing it. Thanks a lot Mike for sending me that thing ! http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Plug/2909.jpg http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Plug/2910.jpg http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Plug/2911.jpg So let´s get start...

Little update - I bought an inside- rearviewmirror with autodim out of an 300M. The socket is comparable so you can directly install that mirror onto the neon. Only the plug is different, so you better try to get a mirror including that different plug... http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/mirror/2743.jpg

yeah - I do hope that I could get it functioning at the end. Today I spent with disassembling a rear left knuckle and control arm at the junkyard for a buddy and by the way ripped off the ABS-wiring from rear to front. Back home I have been rewiring the cabletree at the SXT. Hopefully it won´t last ...

I am sure the stock SRT-Springs are stiffer but not shorter than standard 2nd-gen springs, ´cause I installed stock SRT struts and springs to my 2000 and it isn´t lowering her in any way. I heard the 1st springs should lower the 2nd, but for the SRT I think they could be a bit too floppy - otherwise...

We have a similar problem here and a buddy in workshop suggested to try something like

(oil stop leak). He told he had tried it himself and it should have been working - so we will try that, too.

The bux-neons are ready to get the alarm activated by the chrysler-dealer. I had to install the hood-switch (the plug is still existing there at the passengers side near the fender - or you have to bridge the contact) and the dealer could program the (simple) alarm which is activated by the door-con...

How-To: identify which foglights you need
Don´t blame me, if I published this here anywhere before ... :D Just for your interest I wrote down the differences between the 3 foglight-versions which have been used within the 2nd-gens. First is the 99-01, kit should be 82206938 http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/silver/1448.jpg http://www.dodgeowne...

Thanks so far. But the atx should stay, so the tranyswap-stuff won´t be needed I think. The LE has SKIM, the R/T should have had too. Does the R/T-PCM not work with the LE-SKIM-Module ? If not, we should better do the swap beneath a Chrysler-Dealer for flashing :tardbang: Would the R/T-engine run wi...

all pre-NGC R/T swap questions
I have been searching, sure. But the most threads I found were about swapping ngc and pre-ngc components. A buddy likes to swap a pre-ngc R/T engine into his pre-ngc neon with 3-speed-atx. All available is just the engine and the pcm. Has anybody done this and does it work without too much pain ? Am...

How To: Multifunctionswitch-mod for bux turnlights
On bux Neons you have seperated amber rear turnlights and red brakelights. If you like to mod that, you have to pull out the cable at pin1 on your MFS (wt/tn) http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Nebelscheinwerfer/2067.jpg which comes from the brakepedal. Take care to isolate it very carefully. Now your t...

How To: Multifunctionswitch-mod for bux rearfoglight
The rearfoglight isn´t existing on us-neons. The switch is included at the multifunctionswitch on the export-neons. There are three different MFS http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Nebelscheinwerfer/1840.jpg 1. us - only front fog http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Nebelscheinwerfer/1713.jpg 2. export - onl...

There are at least three different MFSs available, us-version with front-fog only and without rear-fog, bux-version anyways with rear-fog but without front-position and us/bux-version with rear and front fog. http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Nebelscheinwerfer/1840.jpg Years ago I bought the mopar-fron...

Like Jenni said, I have them here since three or four years or something, switch(es) and a pair of mirrors. The switch is definitely longer than the standard. The switch is always fixed with two screws. If you try to get that thing fit, you loose either the upper or the lower screwhole. Shouldn´t be...

Shipping the airbag is really a bad thing if you care, but at least the only thing of interest might be the emblem, so why don´t you rip it off and exchange only this ? http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Lenkrad_airbag/Abdeckung_Airbag_1.jpg http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Lenkrad_airbag/Emblem_Airbag_1....

I think it is more difficult to swap the 4-speed Atx, ´cause it´s electronically controlled and engaged with the pcm. The older 3-speed may be way easier to swap. You may have to decide wether you like to use the hydraulic clutch pedal or the bowdenwired - depends on the trany you find. You may need...
