Yeah, now, as you say it, I believe, there has to be a tool for that work.
Could you post some pictures and/ or part-number for the one you have ?

Apart from that it could succesfully be done if you are very careful.

PCM-Plug on ngc-Neons

Because the black PCM-plug has been damaged by the accident on my SXT I had to care about fixing it. Thanks a lot Mike for sending me that thing ! http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Plug/2909.jpg http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Plug/2910.jpg http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Plug/2911.jpg So let´s get start...

Great - good to know

I only tried to put the 300M-mirror on the mirror but had not left it as the plugthing has to be fixed before. It looks nearly the same as yours in your picture.

Really nice work you did. I like the R/T.

I thought about spending my holiday in the UK, buy a R/T to drive around a bit and take it back home to germany.
Actually I am trying to convince my wife of that idea :cheerleader:

btw - do you still have the R/T-alloys left or already sold ?

Little update - I bought an inside- rearviewmirror with autodim out of an 300M. The socket is comparable so you can directly install that mirror onto the neon. Only the plug is different, so you better try to get a mirror including that different plug... http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/mirror/2743.jpg

@Dante - yes - you are right, I never realized the different struts.
So I will compare next time the gabriel ultra struts which I purchased short time ago to see if they were more SRT or more SXT like

@NickKo - my pleasure

yeah - I do hope that I could get it functioning at the end. Today I spent with disassembling a rear left knuckle and control arm at the junkyard for a buddy and by the way ripped off the ABS-wiring from rear to front. Back home I have been rewiring the cabletree at the SXT. Hopefully it won´t last ...

I am sure the stock SRT-Springs are stiffer but not shorter than standard 2nd-gen springs, ´cause I installed stock SRT struts and springs to my 2000 and it isn´t lowering her in any way. I heard the 1st springs should lower the 2nd, but for the SRT I think they could be a bit too floppy - otherwise...

(oil stop leak). He told he had tried it himself and it should have been working - so we will try that, too.

The bux-neons are ready to get the alarm activated by the chrysler-dealer. Over here the 2nd-gen has been sold from 1999 up to 2003 (some 2004). And only the us-02-Version-face ever.

The 1st and 3rd version has never been sold here regularly.

Haven´t you got any 99 2nds over there ?

But anyway - thanks for the info though :D

So it´s not possible to swap without any trouble into an ATX-neon, neither the three-speed nor the 4-speed.

all pre-NGC R/T swap questions

I have been searching, sure. But the most threads I found were about swapping ngc and pre-ngc components. A buddy likes to swap a pre-ngc R/T engine into his pre-ngc neon with 3-speed-atx. All available is just the engine and the pcm. Has anybody done this and does it work without too much pain ? Am...

How To: Multifunctionswitch-mod for bux turnlights

On bux Neons you have seperated amber rear turnlights and red brakelights. If you like to mod that, you have to pull out the cable at pin1 on your MFS (wt/tn) http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Nebelscheinwerfer/2067.jpg which comes from the brakepedal. Take care to isolate it very carefully. Now your t...

There are three different MFS http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Nebelscheinwerfer/1840.jpg 1. us - only front fog http://www.dodgeowners.de/Neon/Nebelscheinwerfer/1713.jpg 2. export - onl...
