Yeah, the Boomba seals up nicely - good, stout, billet aluminum  The stock piece is stamped steel - easy to bend the corners. David, for the sake of doing it the easy way (but, more $), I would go with a BOV that mounts to the filter-to-turbo air tube. You just need a block off plate to go ...

I used 2000 grit sandpaper and water - lasted 3 years, and they're getting to the point of needing it again. The turn lenses are still good to go.
I may try the $20 kit that Justin mentioned - what is the brand name on that kit? I don't like going to Chinamart... :cussing:

I run the Boomba - it bolts in the stock location. I have a 12 pound spring in it so that it doesn't blow off externally below 12 pounds. If I drive nice and easy, I can hear it do the stock-style flutter back into the intake. But, if I wind up the boost above 12 pounds, it makes a nice healthy psh...

Wow, where to start? NickKo and I frequent salvage yards a lot, and see quite a bit of odd *things*... I had a '75 Ford Maverick that had belonged to an old guy that visited someone in Chicago. He was paranoid about not having the change for tolls, so he would wrap a quarter, nickle, and dime in a s...

In defense of GbD, vendors switch materials quite often. Whether it's cost savings, better quality, better service, etc, it does happen. The fact that it happened between your original order and when an install error was made and replacements sent out is not the fault of GbD. $15 shipped for replace...

Son's R/T badges look fine ('03), but the "SRT4" badge chrome on my '05 is peeling off, and it only has 16k on it. Must be a heck of a draft behind the car...

I use the Walmart ST16 (made in USA by Champion), which not only filters more oil (it's a larger diameter, so has a larger element), it has no bypass valve. Studies have shown (done by DCx FEMA engineers) that almost all commercially available oil filters with bypass valves have springs that are not...

The idea behind removing wheel weights was to not paint over them. Whenever I have tires mounted, I always tell the guy doing the work (not the salesman) to put the weights on the in-side of the wheel so they don't mess up the finish of the wheel, and make the wheel look tacky. So, if your weights a...

In addition to what Dante said, if the idle is till going up and down, swap in a (known) good TPS - when those go bad, it can cause the surging.
