There is no such thing as a short ram cold air intake, because it would be sucking in hot air from the engine bay. Not saying this is your reason but just pointing it out.

i'd love to see what your insurance is for an srt @ 19 yrs old. just stick with the reg neon, that way when you put mods on it you slowly get used to the speed and won't trade in your car for something that is too much car for most people. Yeah but how will the rest of us do SRT4 swaps if it weren'...

You should of done your homework before buying a car with over 100k miles because that's when Neons start to need all that stuff.

I just want to know is there a end in sight? Is there? Like you admitted yourself, most of that is general maintence for an economy car except for the radiator problem which isn't uncommon. Well it took you a 100 or so thousand miles to do those. So now you got a hundered more. True... I don't get ...

I have, unfortunately it's still an autotragic. Next mod besides repairs = 3.94, when I have the extra money. It's not worth it unless you at least have a turbo or drive a stick.

Just got done actually, the hub is slightly too large for the wheel. Gonna contact a shop on Monday to see if they can bore it out or maybe do it myself if I have the right tools. I gave the wheels back to my friend because I didn't want to go through the hassle. They had brand new Coopers on them ...

'93 Celica GT wheels? 5x100

I have a set of 14 inch '93 Celica GT Vert wheels with a 5x100 bolt pattern. I know that's the same as the Neon but will they still work?

Thanks

I was asking because I might consider an 03+ Neon for a newer car if I can put in my parts from the '00 in it without being screwed by the NGC and compression issues.

The oil analysis doesn't catch everything. Mine is a case in point... the camshaft needed replacing due to severe pitting when the head gasket started leaking coolant externally. Perhaps the damage and wear particles entered the oil long before I purchased the vehicle.... <shrug> I wouldn't expect ...
