we actually found out just last week that two vacuum lines were switched around..i read the replys and everything and looked and found that problem..it runs like a dream right now..thanks for all the help

i had that same problem in my friends 1st gen. i learned real quick to pump slow..it spit the gas out all over me..i had that problem in my oldsmobile too..never did fix it though

the check engine light has not been on..i drove it around a bit last night and i figured out that it doesnt do too bad if you feather the gas pedal EXTREMELY light..but it still is not running right..it is a stock motor and everything..it doesnt bog out when i come off the gas..only when i put gas on

i am currently workin on a 1989 dodge daytona shelby..very nice car if i do say so..but i have a question..it idles just fine sitting there but then the second i put gas onto it the idle screws up and tries to bog out..is this a problem with the turbo or something else?..i know this is a neon forum ...
