WHOO!! :D I just got off the phone with Jordan from Discount Tire Direct. I HIGHLY recommend these guys! Not only did he price-match the Gripston website I sent to him, he came down $14 below them ($350 FLAT) shipped to do my door. Gripston would have been $363.96 shipped to my door. For another $12...

Very nice comparison pictures between yours and the eBay ones. Wish I could just build my own retros so I could get a better cutoff line like yours. Looks good! Thanks Andy, and who said you couldn't build your own?! Buy a cheap pair of stock headlights to practice on, you can get the MH1's from TR...

I've been promising output pics of my retro's...well after taking the driver side back apart as the seal wasn't perfect & just a little bit of condensation seeped in, I was able to tweak the rotational aim just a little bit more. I'm much more happy with the overall horizontal / rotational aim now. ...

So here's what I decided...The Falken ZE-512's (5 year old technology which I did not know) have horrible reviews with tread life (lucky to last a year!), road noise, wet handling is up in the air...so I am going to keep the one brand new Falken 512 as my full size spare - hey, who could complain, r...

How many miles did you put on them so far and what is their tread depth? Still a lot of life left, or is the 280 tread life rating pretty accurate? I was told today by a tire shop that a 215/45 would fit on a SXT suspension without any problems - my only beef about it is that recommended wheel width...

Manny,

How well are these Hankooks holding up now that it's been over a year? I'm looking at ordering 4 brand new ones from Discount Tire - they have them for $95 (ea) w/ Free S/H & Hankook has a $60 Mail-in-Rebate currently until the end of June on 4 new Hankooks.

I just got back from driving around the area - I just picked up 3 Falken ZE-512 205/45/17s for $160. Got 2 of them with 95% tread off of a local guy for $95 and one brand new (still had the sticker on it) for $65 from a tire shop who had it posted on eBay. I told him "take it off eBay and I'll give ...

After a long 580 mile trip (10 hours) down to Cincinnati, I finally bought Charlotte two new pairs of shoes! Oh, and ended up getting an added spare as a bonus just in case the dog ends up chewing off one of the heels  A big thanks to Dan (superdan) and Ian (ianguilly)! After a good washing...

I think that is so stupid Daimler decided to make both the 15 & 17s only 6" wide...I mean...rationale DC? C'mon!

LOL that's why I went the smart route & just bought strut assemblies. Comes with strut, coil spring, mounting bracket...the whole 9 yds. Just pull the old out and put the new in. If I were already living in Dallas where it's flat, I'd be lowered 2.5" by now ;) But in Pittsburgh...one's a fool to go ...

They're both done now. They were indeed first put on the wrong side. The eBay seller had put that that **89 was the Left, Rear and **99 was the Right, Rear. As you can see from my post above, that is copied from the company's PDF file. Once I took the driver side back off & re-installed the part **9...

Perfect - then that is what I'll go with - it's only a 5% ratio reduction as opposed to a 10% drop (205/40's are way too skinny for the amount of potholes PA has)

CM - Will I 205/45/17 definitely fit on a SXT suspension with proper clearance? I definitely think they will now clear my rear, as the new struts do sit up 1/4" higher...I just see most people run a 205/40 but I don't want that slim of a tire. Yea I was just tossing up the idea because the guy is li...

The more I look at them the more I'm starting to agree with Fan...I think they're a little too busy for the curvature & simpleness of a Neon...maybe if they were a little cheaper I'd really consider them

I need honest opinions on these wheels - it's just a real fast crop I did.
