ling longs? i thought the Hankoks were the ling longs? Hankooks are actually produced in North America as of 1981. The company is actually soaring in worldwide sales. But these "Ling Longs" are literally a Chinese brand tire. Now, some Michelin's, Goodyears, etc. are manufactured in China, h...

lol trust me - I'm a daily speeder and part of that addiction is being used to my needle saying at least 70mph on a highway. If my speedo was too slow then I'd already be speeding more than what I thought I was going (i.e. if I think I'm booking at 75mph I'm really doing almost 80mph depending on ti...

Okay after doing further research, the SUNNY Chinese tires are definitely out!! They sound no better than the Ling Longs  I did just contact a local craigslist seller who has (4) 205/40/17 Hankooks with over 3/4 tread for $200 obo "their loss is my gain." This sounds like a great price and the...

This is what I use when I want to compare tire sizes to make sure my speedo isn't too terribly off. Andy: That is exactly what I use and where the above information came from  PLUS stock SRT tire sizes will not fit under non-SRT struts without spacers or some sort of work. Correct. OEM 205...

SXT to SRT-4 Wheel Speedometer Calculator: Stock tire: 185 / 60 / 15 Non-Stock tire: 205 / 50 / 17 Speedometer reading with non-stock tire will be 5.6% too slow. When your speedometer reads 60mph, you are actually traveling 63.4mph Stock tire: 185 / 60 / 15 Non-Stock tire: 215 / 50 / 17 Speedometer ...

Tires...tires...so many options, which kind to choose? :)
As many of y'all know, Charlotte's a '03 SXT. I'll probably be picking up a set of SRT wheels, struts/springs very soon off of Dan so I am shopping around for new tires (as his wheels currently have the Chinese brand "Ling Longs" & for the research I've done - I don't trust them. Unless someone here...

I can not believe how impossible it is to find someone who doesn't want their stock SRT wheels...wow. I mean I'm offering to either trade my 4 wheels and 8 great conditioned tires or possibly just buy them. At least in the surrounding states of PA where I could actually go & physically pick them up ...

5mm spacers, and you might not even need them in the rear. Ran those perfectly on my first Neon, 205-50s and all. 5mm is all the wide we need with a stock SXT suspension to run OEM 17x6 +45mm SRT wheels w/ 205-50s? Wow that's only a 5th of an inch wide...and that clears the spring perch completely,...

Diablo, Great information, thanks :) I meant to put 45, the 35 was a mistype. However, I am still unclear as to which wheel spacers would just simply fix the problem for non-SRT drivers to fit SRT-4 wheels with the OEM 205-50-17 size tire to avoid rubbing the spring perch? The reason why I ask is th...

Ok so after reading this entire thread, I just have one question regarding the SRT4 wheels 17x6 45offset w/ 205-50-R17's - wouldn't wheel spacers (such as a 12.7mm (1/2") or maybe a little bigger like a 15mm) simply fix the rubbing of the spring perch problem for those using stock SXT suspension? It...

Any news on the exhaust yet?? :withstupid: LOL thane, go back two pages bud ;) It's already installed... Oh! and speaking of the exhaust...I think I found out my grinding noise on right hand turns :D I am 90% sure it was my stock exhaust piping at the axle! I had to cut off the bolt due to excessiv...

CM, I'm not really getting the info/help I need other at HIDPlanet...can you clarify something for me oh lighting queen? :) With my morimoto retros it feels off to me as it seems like the top of my cutoff is hitting street signs midway and is hardly lighting them up at all. Also, my cutoff / slope i...

Thanks for the compliments :) Saber: do it bud! I'm telling you - the amount of light output these Morimoto's w/ 5000k HID put out compared to the other side (eBay projectors w/ 6k kit) is unbelievable . I felt for a second, like I was almost back in my Audi :) Highly recommend retrofitting! It took...

My retros are done :) I'm going to wait until tomorrow to install them - giving them at least a full 24 hours to set. I pray nothing is wrong because there is NO air or water getting in these babies! haha They are sealed tight. On with the pics! Passenger side aligned, sealed & complete: http://i119...
