the ASD relay is tripped when the PCM detects a problem.

if you bypassed the ASD, and now the car doesn't start. you mostly burned something out, possibly the PCM. Check all your fuses.

IIRC, the 2000 and 2001 computers and slightly different pinouts. seek out somebody with the appropriate FSM's to see which wires you need to move around.

this is only an issue for those of us with sentry key. a 2.4L PCM out of a base stratus or PT Crusier (aka: didn't have sentry key) would work fine.

that's cus the only person making a big deal about this is you. to put a DOHC head on a 2nd gen motor, you remove the SOHC head and manifolds, and place the DOHC head and manifolds onto the 2nd gen. this works best if you're going with a SRT4 turbo manifold setup, but any DOHC manifolds will work as...
