the ASD relay is tripped when the PCM detects a problem.
if you bypassed the ASD, and now the car doesn't start. you mostly burned something out, possibly the PCM. Check all your fuses.

ok. since i knwo what the OP is REALLY talkign about..... the Half-A-Hemi you speak of when referring to the tranny, is the worthless shift mod that can be done to the 00-01 3 speed trannys. all it did for me, was throw a CEL and cause my gas mileage to go to absolute SHIT. dont bother. da hell? ~M...

Not exactly son. If it were this easy you'd see plenty of DOHC 2g's running around. To this date I have seen 0. Gary Howell had done a DOHC engine swap once, and to my knowledge he is the only one that has done it. You have to remember, the PCM wouldn't know WTF a DOHC head is. just because nobody ...

that's cus the only person making a big deal about this is you. to put a DOHC head on a 2nd gen motor, you remove the SOHC head and manifolds, and place the DOHC head and manifolds onto the 2nd gen. this works best if you're going with a SRT4 turbo manifold setup, but any DOHC manifolds will work as...
