So the update I was talking about. I grabbed a rear quarter stuffed 2gn. It's a 2000 with an srt4 swap already. Swap has 85K currently.....should make things easy for me to swap into my 2000. I started poking around. So far the tally mod wise is. AEM CAI Urethane mount inserts all around. Looks like...

why didnt you change the timing tensioner? Good question, I changed it with one from a low miles engine for now. Was a order only part, I'm on a deadline (need it out of garage), guy was being a tad cheap. It also needs a DS engine mount so it can be done at the same time with very little extra wor...

I am skeptical of how easy it seems to just order the PCM, plug it in, and it's good. Everyone who works on cars knows that if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. For that reason I am worried. Hopefully it works out, I have a Plan B in mind, but I hope it works... Sometimes it's that ...

Ehh it's something to do, won't rev the car out as much as a 3.94 for daily. Something I haven't played with. Last but not least cost wise it's a total of $450 for both transmissions. I've gotten as far as aquiring both affordably ( hard part ) and shoving both in my garage. Srt trans are easy to di...

Basically all guts from stratus R/T T-850 go into the SRT housing minus the diff because the stratus housing is for the V6. The srt retains its LSD....the only reason for the swap is gear ratio for NA car.....but it's 6 of one and half a dozen of another.... t-850 vs t-350. T-850 internals are getti...

I don't forsee box intakes having an issue. The magnum is definitely a problem. The Indy might fit. In theory it should. Shimming the LSD in the t-350 is the pita. The races need to be pressed in or driven in with a brass punch or race installer. The shim goes behind race. So your installing a shim,...

Surprised everyone goes anal just over the zinc, the phosphorous is important in metal to metal contact areas as well.

For me mating the halfshaft to the block would be my main issue, I just dont have the tools to make the bracket :banghead: . Which IM have been known to fit around the bigger starter with the t850? If I ever find the time which is usually based on necessity I will be coming up with something cheap and durable to use a T-850. The halfshaft / oil filter isn't the drawback however. The intake clearing starter issue thus limiting useable intakes is the real motivation killer.

The added weight would actually help traction. As far as ETA's can't comment. LSD should gain a tenth, but every 100lbs removed should gain a tenth...Alot of the weight comes from the LSD. Our 2gn's are weight biased to passenger side with the light t350. Stratus R/T t850 internals in a Srt-4 t850 w...

Don't use that. Anything "universal" "works" in everything but doesn't actually work in anything. Mobil 1 High mileage 10w30 or 5w30 (cold places) synthetic engine oil. I was under impression that synthetic oil was bad for our trannies as well? Currently it contains 1100 PPM of zinc it seems and 10...

It is a TCM, you are correct on that one. Only the NGC has the PCM/TCM all in one package. 2002 is the "2000" of ATX's. It was only a one year thing for domestic neons, two years for exports. One way to look at it, is only the 41te has a divorced TCM as far as neons are concerned. It is the w...

Whats in the fender on passenger side then on 02's ? It's not present on the 02 MTX only ATX. I can't imagine it's not for trans.

All right so I need to swap out my KYB's in front to some comparable brand of SRT strut to run 50 size tires I gather.....I am guessing 40's give a preety hard ride and 45's are preety expensive from what I have seen.

Is this a front and rear issue?

Lol, the 2000 is a 31th. It only has wires pertaining to the TCC solenoid. Everything else is hydraulic. There is no TCM. Unplug the TCC connector, see if that changes it. Check the fluid level. Check the kick down cable for proper adjustment. If none of that helps, then change the filter and fluid...

Not saying its a fact but the computer for trans is in the passenger side fender....Likewise the wire harness for that computer passes right by the AC compressor.....If someone managed to pinch or cut the wires removing the AC compressor it could cause some issues.

T850 modding for fun

I have a project I've been fooling around with.

2.7L T-850 internals swapped into an 04 srt housing with qualife LSD.

Yes I have the elusive stratus R/T T-850 and an 04 srt trans.

Anyone interested in a mix of T-850 trans coming to life?
