Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

There is not enough there to weld to. It can be drilled in the center and an easy out could be attempted. The only issue is due to the size, the easy out will have to be relatively small. The risk is if the easy out snaps, there is no drilling that. But a shop with a decent technician should be abl...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Oh to answer my question above. There are only 5 studs due to just replacing the ones needed for a shorter stud for the AGP manifold. More bad news. Had a buddy come over that works at a shop. He brought his big vice grips over and got two exhaust studs out that I could not get out. So that was good...

Re: 2003 SRT DD

Those still suck. The OEM ones are the best. I just checked MPX and they just sell the Depo ones :( $20. https://www.modernperformance.com/product/0305_Dodge_Neon_Headlight_Gaskets/03-05-neon-srt-4-exterior-lights-and-bulbs I cannot find the part number for the Mopar gaskets. But they are called "He...

Re: 2003 SRT DD

Yeah I had to adjust mine.

I have no gap on mine. You need OEM headlight gaskets.. or something else is off on your car. I think the OEM gaskets help seal out moisture too

Re: Removing an exhaust stud?

Hey guys I got those studs out. Had a buddy come over with a big set of vise grips and he got them out. Buuuuuuuut ran into this, of course. Might seem stupid but I don't want to risk anything. This is a brand new OEM exhaust manifold gasket. I had only used it once when I had the manifold up on the...

Re: Removing an exhaust stud?

Well got the manifold on but the lower stud in that picture needs to be shorter. And guess what, I can't get that one out either! Luckily the threads are perfect on it. I went to the hardware store and got some serrated flange nuts. Locked them up against each other. No luck. Just spins the other nu...

Re: Dodge/Chrysler News

$70k. That would make a fun daily. Fun to watch prices plummet on used regular HellCats from like 2015. Really wish they offered the Charger with a manual transmission but didn't due to crashing standards. Like the looks better then the Challenger.

Re: Removing an exhaust stud?

Image I got a Tap and Die kit and didn't even need to use it. I ended up getting 2 nuts on there, and boy I could not loosen that stud. But since I got those nuts on there. Might as well just say screw and use that stud!

Re: Removing an exhaust stud?

Nice, great tips! I wish I would of known that tip about the 2 nuts. Learning process for me. Yeah I am all about things being easier for sure. Main reason for the shorter stubs are due to the design of the aftermarket manifold I have. I am also going to buy some Kroil. That stuff works wonders. So ...

Removing an exhaust stud?

https://i.imgur.com/uoXpkJt.jpg I sprayed it down with penetrating oil and used vice grips and it will not spin loose. The vice grips just eat the threads when I turn. Only other option is a torch or something to get it out? I plan on replacing it with a new one I got from AGP that is a bit shorter...

Re: 2003 SRT DD

The black housing foglights look great and are like $55 shipped. I don't use FOGs either since I haven't done the MFS rewire yet for the fogs. I don't like the look with empty holes there. Now if it was all black on the inside and smooth it would look better. Just my opinion. Like some sort of inser...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Right on will do. Got the AGP bolt set that came with 5 studs. Not sure why it came with 5 studs. Since there are 10 holes on the exhaust side of the head. I will get pictures with what I am dealing with. I just want to make sure I am doing it right. I did some investigating. Mainly on the ATP exhau...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

It has an ATP 02 housing. I have the reroute blocked off so it might work with the AGP manifold. Anyhow, I took the manifold off. Was not fun to do so. Found out my harbor freight 12mm crows foot was an 11mm! Even though it was labeled as a 12mm. So I went to Harbor Freight and got a new set free of...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Yeah I was worried about that a bit... The 02 housing might be different but not sure. Need to ask the original owner. I believe the ATP manifold sits up higher or vice versa with the AGP. Let me look online. A AGP 02 housing is over $400 LOL

Re: 2003 SRT DD

On the previous page I said mine say "Eagle Eye" where yours say Dynamic R. I never had issues with the "Eagle Eye" ones. Have you driven in rain with the Eagle Eye brand? I'm asking because I found some online. I had that brand on my old R/T and one of them leaked like these ones do. I'm a little ...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Was so close to getting done too! :( :( :( Just had to finish up the hotside of the turbo. Tightening down the 4 bolts to the manifold and one of the threads went out inside the manifold. So the bolt won't tighten down properly. I should of sprayed air in that hole to get all the old grime and stuff...

Re: MyNeonSaysHi Mod Log: Stone White

Thanks guys for your suggestions. I found the PDF how-to by AGP for their oil cooled turbos for the SRT-4. Turns out NO sealant/tape is needed for the fitting going to the block. Yet the picture shows teflon being on there??? LOL I am confused. https://www.srtforums.com/threads/agp-installation-inst...

Yes sir'ee! But more problems. :( The turbo was not clocked correct. Luckily I just mocked it up. So I took it back off and adjusted that. Decided to use the new oil feed line fittings that came with the AGP kit. (It came early!) Looks like the previous owner used teflon paste on the oil feed line u...

Run the brights on for a bit while driving to clear that up. Not sure if OEM rubber gaskets would help keep water from coming in. Since yours have a big gap due to the crappy gasket they came with.
