What is this on? SRT, RT, SXE, SE? I'm trying to find some examples of members who've done a little engine building on their 2.0L My mechanic has talked me into doing my first engine upgrade, bigger camshaft + everything else needed for a successful replacement. I told him I'm trying to get more pow...

where on earth did you hear that the need for a different thermostat is in any way tied into a bigger cam? stock is just fine Hm.. I was under the impression that when you do any bottom end or top end work, most likely there's going to be an increase in temp. So you have to get a thermostat with a ...

I was saying there is no way it isn't going to have an increase in power. The PCM cannot change physics, only adjust to them, and keep it as close to stoich as possible. If there is more air going in, it will have no choice but to add more fuel to keep it stoich. 60mm TB's can cause a CEL on 2003/2...

It's listed as a 12.5 gallon capacity tank, but you can squeeze in 12.8 on a completely empty tank. I've gone 28 miles on the flashing fuel light, didn't want to push it past that. I measured my mileage last month and got 31mpg with mostly city driving. That includes spirited driving and many 1st/2...

Well at most, you only need the Magnums springs for the 400. About $100 for springs and retainers. The 400 is going to give you a boost in power regardless of the PCM. For it to keep it at the same 132 hp, it would have to lean the A/F to the point of destroying the engine. It will adjust the fuel ...

Boost is the best overall bang for the buck. But you may be spending more than $1500 for new parts, and a proper tune. If passing emissions is a requirement, plan on spending a lot more. Or trading for an SRT 4, if you want to retain a neon. Luckily I don't live in Fascist-California. :D I've gotte...

Semi-hijack Well you guys have just stopped me from starting my camshaft swap funds. Was going to start researching everything needed to do a successful camshaft upgrade but if there's a CPU that's only going to prevent me from a good bump in HP/torque then I'm not interested. I simply meant something like the DEH-X8500BH. It's listed as 50W x4. The cost is $250 but it includes a USB port. The 50 watts isn't going to win a sound-off but for basics it's not horrible, especially paired with the Alpine or Polk speakers. <_<; I may be mistaken but I think the single din line...

If replacing the wheel bearings is it a good idea to also get the axles replaced too? Looks like that would be a good idea being that just to replace the wheel bearings you have to remove just about the whole assembly excluding the axle.

Front End Making A Sound Resembling A Washer Machine!

So somewhere in the front end, between the center and the wheel, there's a sound that speeds up as I speed up and slows down as I slow down, and for the most part becomes even louder as I slow down. I can't tell if this sound has always been there (under my possession of the car) as I just recently ...

But to answer your question, I think they will hold up fine. I ran a while unknowingly on the Eibach prokit springs that had broken. It wasn't until it broke again on the driverside, and ripped the upper mount that i really noticed the front was a bit lower than it should have been. The breaks were...

Are you saying that the only mount you don't have yet is the passenger side frame mounted mount? You don't have to replace them all at the same time, but you will be doing a lot of the dis-assembly to the engine all over again to replace that mount later. Exactly, the motor mount that is in between...
