The actual upper part of the shifter is most of the time the same height of a normal one, in fact, sometimes they are longer. The "shorter" part is the throw. Imagine a set of 19" Volk GT-V's with 3-1/2 inch lips........sitting on a rubberband for a tire, with those big fat fender flares touching the tire.....mmmmmmmmm, I think it would look absolutely sick!
