Mopure/Streetstylecustoms.com

For those of you who havent heard of street style customs, they market parts for several cars, and sell parts by a small company called Mopure, which makes short shifters for Neons and srt4's. They had a great reputation so i ordered their 2g STS, and im waiting to get it in the mail. go to ssc's si...

I see what you mean, but will srt struts be able to handle a lowered suspension for as long as aftermarket struts? I need reliability and something that will last several years. I wanna do a low profile tire for the looks as well, especially with the big wheels. maybe a 45 or 50 for a good balance?

ok heres what i want outta my suspension: improved handling, lower stance, reliability, ride quality. I dont intend to race much so adjustability isnt an issue, Id get coilovers but its not necessary. So having said that, do i NEED to get the holes cut/use crash bolts, or can i have the car alligned...

but isnt stiffness a bad thing? i was thinkin of the 60mm. But me and my gf have the EXACT same car, except hers has 1000 miles and mine has 9000. maybe hers will get tight as well? the other problem is that the actual throttle cable has TOO MUCH slack, about 3/4". so when i drop off WOT, it bobbles...

im definatly planning on doin at least 17s, but prob 18s, maybe 205 or 215. so tokicos arent gonna work with big wheels? that doesnt make much sense. They accept the sways, so thats all good. if i was gonna spend 600 on springs alone id go for coilovers, and im not planning on racing so Konis arent ...

any idea why my pedal feels REALLY tight when i push down on it hard. compared to my gf's neon, its really stiff. hers will hit the floor no prob, and mine feels like a break. its been happening a lot more since its been really cold out, could that have something to do with it?

I need some dang suggestions. I like the look of the neon on Tein s springs. Ive hear good things about Eibach prokit and tokicos. neonmike aka mike carpenter was a contributor, the book was written by mike ancas, who is not on neons.org. great book, but kinda general as far as mods go. Someone should write a small book on aftermarket mods for the street neon, once that has less to do with autox and off road racing. Also, the b...

im hearing 5k miles is acceptable with full syn oil, so prob no longer than that. The fram wont hurt anything? should i just get a better filter? the coldest it gets in my area is about 20F, and i go to work at 6am so its damn near the coldest point of the day. what about fuel economy?

better clutch

I have a stock clutch and i plan on using it until it wears out, but i have a few questions about the future. First off, about how long will a stock clutch last? I drive about 22k miles a year, and rarely do i do clutch drops or burnouts or anything like that. I DO drive spiritedly a lot though, and...

i just got some mobil 1 5w20 synthetic, and a fram. from what ive read, i should get rid of the fram and go for a K&N or pureone? are there any downsides to using 5w20 instead of 5w30? isnt heavier oil better for cold start/driving, but worse for economy?
