Getting ready to leave for a 1000 mile round trip drive this weekend so the computer should have plenty of time to figure stuff out. Right now it is starting to feel like the powerband has shifted about 1K RPM up (the car starts to take off at 5.5K instead of 4.5K)...not sure if advancing the cam a ...

So it wouldn't even be worth the time/money/hassle to get some dyno time and try to fine tune the cam timing, since the ECU does most of the work. I am just happy everything is installed and working for now. I will give the computer time to adjust and then hook up the butterflies (trying to minimze ...

LOL...yeah, just got it in. I figure it was a good 3+ years of the mag head and intake sitting in my garage. I sold the mag cam and bought a comp 400 about a year or so ago. I did a light self P&P on both the head and the intake and then had a friends Dad do a valve job and clean up the head a littl...

Code is gone...initially we had the cam gear set to 2° Advance and then when we took it off to put the cam seal in, I asked him to switch it to 2° Retarded thinking I had read somewhere that it was a good starting point until you can get to the dyno...well we set it and then installed the gear, inst...

Got the oil changed today and got the AC working...going to play with the timing in about an hour.

Going to use a timing light and see if we can use the adjustable cam gear to dial it in and get rid of the code... If not, we have got pretty good at getting to the timing belt :cussing:

it is a 2003 and I put in a brand new Comp 400...the old cam didn't have the magnet on it when I looked at it so my buddy must have swapped it over. I dont think it would even run without the magnet, would it? Took off the neg battery terminal and let it sit for awhile then took it around the block....

new mag head, mag intake, and comp 400 = P0016

So spent 12 hours on Sat with a friend installing my R/T head, R/T intake, and Comp 400 cam along with timing belt, water pump, tensioner, etc. Got it home and realized it was losing oil bad and realized friend didn't put cam seal in, so I went back to his garage and spent about 3 hours getting ever...

bad wheel bearing?

Left front is making a grinding/loud thumping noise. The frequency increases with speed and gets worse when I engine brake. It takes a little while to manifest when I first start out. It comes and goes at steady speed. Braking also makes the noise stop (as well as the car  ) The thumping sound...
