take out your center console and look under the plate the shifter is mounted to. There are 2 cables on there...the one on the drivers side is the crossover cable. Put the shifter in neutral and loosen the 8mm screw and then wiggle the shifter and let it center itself naturally....then retighten the ...

its only been a week but the RP seems to be working well. Adusting the crossover cable helped the most though. Is the Mopar NV-T350 the stuff they sell @ modern? Heard good things about Amsoil MTF but you have to order it online and I didn't want wait...maybe next time either that or Mopar...the RP ...

2500 is not that much overall. I'd pay that shit off then start looking at other cars keeping the neon as your DD or project. I thought of that too but we dont have room for 3 cars right now and the wife wont support 2 cars. She knows how easy I would go get the WRX if I didn't have to give up the ...

Okay here is my dilemma. I know all you bastards are going to say keep the neon...cuz this is the keep the neon til it dies (or til I die) thread. I have an 03 SXT with 96K on the odo. Mods actually installed: vibrant dual exhaust, OBX LTH, Magnaflow Highflow cat, AEM CAI, MPX 60mm TB, MPX UDP, Opti...

Why you getting out? The military isn't a bad place to be right now. Job security is worth more than you think! As long as you haven't got into any major trouble you will keep putting on rank and if you are smart with your money, it isn't too hard to be pretty comfortable in the military. Does you j...

I did real good on my first 2 cars. 77 olds omega and a 79 buick regal both bought in cash. The Buick was by far my greatest buy! I got it for 750 and drove the piss out of it and then sold it to a friend cause he needed a car real bad and then the fool abandoned it when it broke down...or that is w...

I still owe on mine but the payments are dirt cheap and so is the interest rate so I haven't been in a hurry to pay it off...plus I took an extra 1500 loan out against the neon to work done on the wifes van.

I am not unhappy with my trans...I am pretty amazed that it has handled the abuse, but I have never destroyed a manual trans before...just automatics, so if it goes...when it goes...this will be my first.

You should be okay, looks like 1 clean break. I didn't check your profile for age, but the younger you are the quicker you heal...also if you are in good shape that helps too.

That shit will heal.

adjusted the crossover cable tonight and that seemed to help. I also put about a little more play back into the clutch pedal to make sure clutch was totally disengaging. Before I had it where clutch would start to take up with pedal about an inch off the floor, now it is about 2-3" off the floor bef...

Yeah, I have Drakito's dealer page bookmarked on the other forum for when the time comes... Fluid change was real easy...used the reverse indicator hole to fill and after I put in the first 2 quarts, had my daughter come out and help with the 3rd while I watched the fill hole. Only problem was when ...

same thing here. It seems to gets worse for me when the tranny gets hot. It doesn't like to downshift into first. I get the same double click that you are talking about and sometimes it is just like it hits a wall and then I have to double clutch and try to rev match and that will help. It held up t...

mtx getting tough to shift

2003 sxt mtx 98K miles

doesn't like to go into first or second...gets worse when it gets hot. I plan on changing the trans fluid this weekend (amosil or royal purple) and hope that fixes it or at least prolongs the tranny before a rebuild (hopefully with a Quaife LSD).

Got my BC coilovers on and a Prothane Master bushing set. Handles a bazillion times better...but makes it feel even slower now :banghead:

I love my neon but everyday I think about getting either a 3 series Beamer or a WRX! Too bad the wife needs a new vehicle more than I need a 2nd one.

I agree with everybody else. You wont notice much difference with all the mods and you will be suprised at how much you will spend and how little you get....the $$$ adds up fast but the HP does NOT! As much as I love my neon, if I had to do it all over again, I would have just taken all that money a...

I been thinking about a WRX too, but the local Subie dealership pissed me off awhile back and it kind of has me jaded. There are also things I dont like about WRX (boxer engine and top mount intercooler). Wish somebody made a turbo inline 4, that seats 5, with a front mount, RWD or AWD. What is that...

Yeah, I thought they had sent me the ones with the rear camber plates by mistake...I didn't look at them very closely. Just seen the top part and didn't realize they weren't slotted like the fronts. This further proves my :tardbang: and why I paid to have this shit done. In hindsight, I should have ...
