I just didn't want to go from an 01 to an 89. Who knows what was wrong with it. Wait, were you gonna have that as your daily driver? If you were, then I hate to say it, but be glad you stayed with the Neon. I didn't know that was gonna be your only car. Still sucks that you missed out though. But a...

2.4 vs 2.2/2.5

So I took my 2.2 8V off of my engine stand this past weekend and put my 2.4 on it to start tearing it down. I took some of the bottom end apart... WOW what a far-improved design over the old 2.2/2.5 motors. I love that they went to a bedplate instead of main caps. I can not wait to vaporize some fro...

Neon = econobox = cut costs = no fancy shit = no cabin air filter

There are probably a bunch of things you can fill in for that last part. Doesn't mean I still don't love this little car.

I love the V6 version of that car. My brother had a 90 Daytona with that V6 and that thing ran super smooth right to red line. Sucks that the 4-speed automatics sucked so bad and those 3.0's ate valve seals quick. With the 5-speed, they were really fun.

Wow, what a friggin beautiful car. That's MY kinda Dodge! By far my favorite P-body, being a one-year-wonder. The 87-88 CSX cars weren't nearly as cool as the 89's. 89+ shortblock is much stronger too. One thing I'm confused on... I thought (could be wrong) that all the 1989 CSX cars had Turbo 4 eng...

Rear disks are for looks. Since between 5 and 10% of your braking power is in the rear they dont add much performance if any when swapped to disks. God dammit, do you know how many times I've gotten flamed on various forums for saying exactly what you did?! On all cars, braking is much more powerfu...

i got the snowflakes, arent the two wheels identical minus the actual inner design tho (i mean size wise)? so could i really get away with a 205 on the stock 15"? Yep. I'll say this... my winter tires are leftover 205/60R15's off of my Daytona. Even with a 1.8" drop, these things don't rub anywhere...

Re: Lower+carry shit?

Anybody have any problems bottoming out their struts or blowing things by carring stuff in a lowered car?? Sometimes all the seats in my car are full, and I'm worried that if I lower it on SRT-4 springs, i might have a bit of a problem when I start to carry people. Most of the time I only have 1 pa...

fireantz, for the gauge illumination on the tach cluster, you need six 194 bulbs. Hell, 10 would do all your illumination, your directionals, your high beam indicator, and the boost gauge on an SRT-4. :) The window switches, you might have to get creative with. The one that lights up is a 3mm that y...
