Re: Mobile Drag Racing Games

I have one of the original Nintendo's and a few games sitting in a box somewhere, because I got bored with it. Just never clicked for me. You'd laugh if you saw what those were worth today. It's not crazy, but still beyond reason. I've refurbed and modded many of those decks for friends seeking the...

You also said that the forum doesn't always work either. I'm wondering if the CIA is finally on to you.

Depending on which browser you're using there are multiple plug-ins with the same intent. Try another one, clear cookies, and see what happens. Gotta keep Botophucket on their toes.

Re: Random posting

It looks like Chrome, Firefox, and Opera are all set with the whole Photobucket bullsh*t. Install a simple plug-in, and you're good. I still got rid of my Photobucket account. It's probably exactly what they were aiming for, but I feel better about it. I haven't figured out where I'm moving to yet. ...

Re: P0440

I had a 0441 on my car intermittently for years. It ended up being a dry-rotted and cracked hose that I would have never found. I ended up having to bring it to the dealer to have the system smoke tested. It was a small crack in one of the hoses going to the NVLD (or Leak Detection Pump for non-NGC ...

Do you still have your Neon? Yes. How long have you had your Neon? 12 1/2 years. How many 2GN Carlisle meets have you been to? ALL 12! Are you going this year? Yes. Do you still mod your Neon or has it turned into just a method of transportation... or just fix when it breaks? A little bit of all 3 m...

I am so glad that car didn't go to waste! I wish I didn't use the SRT oiling system. With the Stratus pump, the fact that I removed the balance shafts would have made up for adding the turbo. Running 5W-20, my cold idle is almost 80psi. I'm waiting for the day when I need to scoot out into traffic b...

...and My '00 shell (Chris A's neon - Dark Jewel) You have that car? I always loved that thing. There was a kindred spirit-ness between that car and my Daytona because we went the same 2.4 route: build a Stratus engine ground-up instead of starting with an SRT longblock. Back when we did ou...

Now that I think about it, I actually haven't tried this with Edge yet. Just since the upgrade, I've used this on many combinations of Windows 32-bit and 64-bit, Linux 32-bit and 64-bit, and multiple version of Android. Browsers include Opera, Chromium, Chrome, Slimjet, Firefox, and IE. I still have...

Yeah, some people ended up falling into the "I'm going to drive my Neon until I don't drive my Neon anymore", which is the parent of the until it dies club.

Speaking of which, I need to put my "...until it dies" number back in my signature!

Once a year just doesn't seem to cut it anymore.
Nope, once a year hasn't cut it for a while. We do some small spring and fall meets in the far northeast, but that's plane-ride distance for you.

I have never used the Magnatec. Actually I have never heard of it. But I've used Castrol Edge (was called Syntec) for many many miles with great results.
I've had better luck with Castrol than Mobil1, so that's what I run in all of my cars now.

One year he drove all the way there with "the valvetrain making a noise". I think one of his students put the rockers in backwards or something like that. Oh well, it's only 1100 miles at 3500-4000rpm the whole way, haha.

I don't know. I toyed with the idea of driving over, but then we took a family trip down to Disneyland this summer and it made me rethink that idea. The drive took about 24 hours and it's less than half the distance to Carlisle. It was rough. Plus, I no longer have AC in the Neon, so it would be ex...

Unfortunately simply eliminating the SKIM isn't possible since the PCM looks for it on start-up. Hopefully someone can chime in and confirm this, but I believe if you were experiencing a SKIM-related fault, the car would actually start momentarily, then shut itself off after a few seconds. It sounds...

I've said this before, but if you told financially-struggling recent-college-graduate me in 2005 that this used Neon I was about to buy would be taking me and my family on vacations with a toddler seat strapped in the back of it with 200,000+ miles racked up on it over a decade later, I would have l...
