I am out of the limbo this year. That was some damn funny stuff last year, but it's a Neon event. I feel like if I sit and watch instead, more people will do it (I really hope more people do it because that was the most awesome new idea I've seen in a while). Although, if somebody lent me a set of ...

You won't need bigger injectors. Your issue was probably timing or spark related. What octane gas were you running? And what plugs did you have in the car?

If you weren't running 93 octane fuel that's an issue. You'll also want 2 range colder plugs when running a big shot like that.

Any way it goes dump the rusty 02.

Another option is to fully SRT/PTGT swap the 1gn neon, and sell the MS unit and everything associated with it.

Easiest way is to get the 1gn on the road with a 2.4 swap and swap the 04. Plus a 2.4 1gn is always fun.

Your area is DMV, DELMARVA? If so pull a transmission from crazy rays. If you have an 01-05 you can use a PT trans. If it's a 2000 you can use 1gn transmissions from 95-99 neons or a 2000 trans.

Re: Removing your catalytic converter will increase gas mile

Probably the best way for you to increase your mpg is to roll-up an old ski mask and stuff it in your tailpipe ... along with the melted catalytic converter, the combined effect will keep the exhaust from scavenging ( required to draw-in more air ). With less air, the computer sends less fuel from ...

My long tube when I added a 100 cell race cat to it gained 1mpg back. Same thing with my SRT4 and the 3" exhaust. With a cat gained MPG back.

Re: Removing your catalytic converter will increase gas mile

Depends on how you do it but for the most part this is false.

Going from a pacesetter header and cat to a long tube with no cat dropped my mileage 3mpg even with better driving habits.

Good job. No one argued the performance, they all argued the gas mileage improvement claim. You suddenly left that out though... Deleting the cat usually doesn't gain more gas mileage. Just driving to avoid the sound helps with gas mileage.

My 95 neon gas mileage didn't change any with the long tube and no cat to adding a small cat.
