I think the VSS is the same wheel, but may be a different plug. You could probably just rewire the reverse light switch and VSS, and it would be just fine.

Just put the a1000 inline and don't worry about the FPR. You won't have to bypass it if it never reaches that pressure, and if you are using a bigger pump to create the pressure and you're doing at least a 50psi base, you won't have to worry about it.

It sounds like something to do with overrun. When you let off the gas and decel in gear, after a short time it will shut off the injectors entirely.
