The e85 will become a requirement to have fun. If you were to tune it to run on pump fuel, timing will be so retarded that you will lose tons of power from it. VE increases as compression increases, but the preignition threshold drops proportionately. So where in an 8:1 motor that runs 20 degrees of...

Yea, no Hahn 20g will be making 500 whp on any motor without other help. Len ran a 20g with an exhaust housing bigger than was available normally. He did his big numbers with a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, leaded race gas, and direct port nitrous on a progressive controller. Yes, Len is a go...

I'm looking at the pics, and I don't see it. Of course, seeing it in person is a little different. If I'm gonna get your MS set up for you, we're going ridiculously conservative, and you are gonna have to use good fuel all the time though. I don't want to be taking any chances we don't have to take.

I'm kinda confused by all that. I wish you would have called me before you did that. But if it works, I guess have fun! Maybe later down the road, do a different intercooler so you can just do the pipe directly without all that extra effort.

Just do a clutchmasters stage 4 and call it a day. Don't go with something weak, or you'll be doing the job twice, which sucks.

Just keep boost very low unless you are using race gas. The stock ECU is timed for 85-87 octane, so at about 10psi, you are good at 93 octane. More than that, and you're asking for knock even with plenty of fuel.

Any way you go, there's gonna be stuff to worry about. Unless you can afford a new car with a warranty, I would recommend to stick with the junk you know what trouble it has instead of some junk you don't know about.

The ebay exhausts tend to be pretty decent for the price. Don't expect them to last 10 years, but they do the job and usually sound pretty decent. NEVER go by a part's advertised potential gains, especially on ebay.

Yup, rings are getting tired. Head looks great. Like OD said, run it while you save up for the rebuild. Probably gonna want to just bore it 20 over and a modern rebuild kit.

Just a 12.9 @ 124. I did the 60' with no boost and the rest of the track with only 15psi. Didn't hook up boost or launch control. Just wanted to go faster than chip and see what needed work.

Yes and no. It's a lot easier to have a hint of knock that you can't hear over natural engine noise when the combustion itself is so loud. And knock does far more to create imbalance than variations in counter balancing.

They just don't do any dampening at all. The stock one uses a rubber insert that absorbs small vibrations. The oil pump on the other hand must be static so if those vibrations get out of control, the gear in the oil pump has nowhere to go so it just cracks.

That's basically what I did, but in a neon. And then you can slap an SRT4 turbo on it later. Even at 4psi without intercooling, it would still be lots of fun.

It's pretty simple. We say put money into the pot if you want to. Or if you don't, just pull some out. While that works in a penny tray at the gas station, it doesn't work so well when it's enough money to live on. Some will indulge, some will not. But the tray has been empty for a long time and it'...

If I had to do it over again, I would probably do an SRT4 rear section, but replace the resonators in the mid section with a couple of the Moroso inline mufflers. Don't do just the SRT exhaust. It's does a great job at not coloring the sound of the motor much, but it sounds like you want all of the ...

We have a hurt economy. Obama wants to be robin hood, and Romney wants to stay out of it and let the public try to figure it out. Neither side is going to work. The only way we are going to fix it is to have the skilled laborers accept the millions of vacant unskilled positions. But there's no incen...

My step-dad dug this up. I was 18 and screwing around with multi-tracking. I did it all myself. The drums are sequenced, but the rest are live instruments obviously. This is what I did before I got cars, kids, wife, house, etc.

OD, it will actually have the opposite effect as the symptom of the TPS correlation code. The code is set because the MAP reading is too high for the observed TPS value. By increasing the efficiency at the head, as long as there is a little load, the vacuum will be higher from the added efficiency p...

It's probably an easter egg. You gotta pull away from a stop, pretending to fight the steering wheel back and forth until 60mph. Then the game realizes that you should have an SRT4 and gives you one.

It's the exhaust leak. You need to fix that. It's also throwing the o2 readings off a little bit. You just aren't hearing it above that RPM because it's being masked by other noises.
