I am just going to say get the 92-96 prelude. I can't remember WHO I talked to on here but they said the best for modding is those year, non SI with vtec and you can turbo the hell out of them with a 1gn DSM turbo/mani. For less than a grand you can have a fast car!

UPDATE, without pics... LAst week I got the engine out and took it to the machine shop. They are hot tanking it for $200, installing everything in the bottom end for another $100, cleaning the head, boring/fixing the valve guides, replacing the seals, installing the pistons (need a new rod on one DO...

well, took pis today, as well as removed a few more small pieces from block I forgot about. I began to feel overwhelmed as I was reading the Hayne's manual... I noticed it says remove transmission with engine.... do I have to? I almost put it all back together, no new pistons, just new pump, belts, ...

engine removal without transmission...

Can you remove the engine without removing the transmission? I know it says in the haynes manual to use a lift, and transmission jack, all this tuff... basically you lift the engine and transmission together and set it on a floor jack/stand, and then lift the car up away from the engine/trans... but...

I picked up a sony alpha 300 for $599, with a lens (18mm to 70mm) and another 100-300mm telephoto lens for another $249... I also bought several other things; tripod, filters, bag, etc... all in all, I spent about $1000... not a bad deal since the alpha will take all old sony and minolta lenses.
