A bad radiator cap can cause the coolant to boil; it's the higher pressure that makes for a higher boiling point. If the cap isn't holding pressure the water will boil closer to 212 degrees F, which is far too low for these engines since they run at close to that temperature during normal conditions...

You need to host the pictures online somewhere. Choices include Photobucket, Flickr, Imageshack, etc. Upload your pics to one of these sites, then copy the "IMG" tag and paste it in your post on here. It will automatically show the picture. The reason you see the red 'X' or blank pictures is usually...

If the OE sensor design was updated, I would. The way I see it, both my cars lost the OEM sensors in 30k or less miles, so putting the exact same ones in doesn't make much sense. Even if they're all the same, good for 30k, why buy the more expensive OE version when the aftermarket ones have the same...

There are several threads on turbo installs, search around a bit. http://forum.2gn.org/viewtopic.php?t=59674 http://forum.2gn.org/viewtopic.php?t=8188 These are just basics, what you need etc. There's plenty more out there. Once you get going on parts and decide a route, then you can work ...

Totally depends on where you live and what labor costs there. Also depends if you go with a quality shop or a backyard special. I'd expect around 3-4hrs labor. Here in CA the going rate is $100/hr or more, the math is pretty simple. Springs can be bought used for $100-200 usually, maybe up to $350 n...

Just to update, I finally replaced the failing Duralast with a Napa Echlen version last week. So far so good, but only time will tell (30k miles seems to be the magic number). Out of the two 05's we have, both have burned through two CPS each, and those have literally been the ONLY problems in over ...

If you don't mind the poor feel and performance of a stock clutch, then it will do fine for you. I went to a SPEC carbon kevlar clutch and fitted their billet aluminum flywheel at the same time, it feels and grips much better than stock, but it can be a pain to drive sometimes, especially on incline...

Ahhh, I figured that's what you meant, yeah Chrysler calls them cam position sensors (CMP), along with most manufacturers these days (that I've seen). Sounds like the timing belt might have jumped a tooth, or something along those lines. They don't really come out of time due to normal wear and tear...

Chances are the MFS and/or connector is bad. You may need to pull the column cover off and check the connector. The black/yellow wire from the MFS goes back to the tail lights and the licence light. If the connector looks good (not melted), and there is no power from the BK/YL wire, then the switch...

Assuming the speed sensor is sending the signal to the PCM, an OBD interface will also receive the information over the data bus. If the PCM doesn't know the vehicle speed, it can't send the data to the OBD port. Best way to tell would be to hook up any OBD software to the car and monitor the speed ...

Would be flippin sweet to do three ”big meets” a year. One in norcal, one in cencal, and one in socal. In between those we can have all the local meets that we want. What does everyone think about all that?..... Sounds like a great plan. We need representatives of each region to be in charge of pla...
