There's a problem with all of that. The TB is directly attatched to the air box and so it doesn't move. The Bellows tube is a flex coupling between the motor which bucks and jerks around in the engine bay. It won't be long before that piece you put between the TB and the plenum wriggles itself loose...

You could have checked that in your driveway. You didn't have to spend money on it. But hey, easy fix so you'll have it back soon. But I bet that guage you got in that recharge kit is inaccurate. Did the tech or service advisor where you took your car say anything about the state of charge? I bet if...

boot kits are easy, too, and depending on the kit you buy, the instructions should be more than enough. The first time I ever did on ewas last year on my neon and once I got the axle out, it took me like 15 minutes to get the snap rings off, take off the tripod (It was an inner boot), replace the bo...

I have not had any overheating issues. As far as the a/c clutch, how can I tell if it's kicking in. I think I know what/where it is, but I can't exactly see the inside. All the belts that I can see are moving and when the a/c is on you can feel the slight power loss (which I've had on any car I've ...

Simple test. Take a rubber mallet or rubber faced dead-blow hammer and tap the cat. If you hear a bunch of rattling around inside the cat, ya need a new one. Now this test isn't gonna cover the possibilty that the catalyst may have disintegrated and blown out the tail pipe but its a good start and s...

He's sayin his low side pressure is in the red, tho! Holy crap. I mean if it was a bit high, you could hook up the mani-guages and see if the high side is low. This would be a compressor cycling issue but with the low side being that excessive, I'm inclined to think it's overcharged. I went on Deale...

You saying the compressor isn't turning? If so, it could be locked up or the clutch could be bad or just not engaging. Check for chafed wires. It alsmost sounds like a short to ground or cross short. Those will usually blow fuses. Also chck for a reddish colored powder on and around the compressor. ...

Check for chafed wires. Sounds like a short to power before the load or...

I was told from early on during school all the way to now (reading the screen from both the DRBIII and StarScan scan tools) that PCM was the acronymn for Powertrain Contorl Module. Meaning that this module oversees and controls components of th powertrain such as the engine, EGR, Evaporative Emoissi...

I know the non-turbo PT tranny will (assuming yours is MTX) as it is an NGV T-350 trans exactly the same as ours aside from the FD ratio which, I beleive is 3.98:1 as opposed to our neons' FD ratio which is 3.55:1 The one I really wanna know about is the PT/GT tranny. I wanna know what I have to do ...

Okay, you can replace the inner tie rods with after market ones but before you do make sure that you really don't need a rack. Take the inner tie rod boots loose and make sure that a bad inner tie rod didn't tear up the inner rack seal. if it did and this seal is leaking, then you really do need a r...

Hub bearing only unless you've got jacked up or misshapen sutds or if the race wears out the hub. Just make sure to support the bearing properly when pressing the hub into it as the bearings are scored so that they split/break into two pieces when pressed apart (you'll see what I mean when you press...

Are you speaking of an axle seal leaking? If so, you could have had the same thing happen the you that happened to me, asssuming you pulled the axles out. When I did my trans and pulled the axles out, the spring that rests in behind the seal and keeps tension on it so it will press up against the ax...

Dude, even though you CAN take 1st to 30mph, I would never take a turn in 1st gear unless I was turning from a dead stop. 2nd gear is usually plent beacuse if I'm slowing down from speed, i usually take a 90 degree turn at about 24-25 mph and it don't take long to get it to 30mph from there and into...

Something doesn't sound right about that, don't buy that clutch until you get in there and look at things, so you don't waste any money in the event it isn't the clutch. I agree. Somethings screwball here. Is it only the 1-2 shift? You said reverse works. Being that you have to use the clutch to ge...

Personally, I wouldn't mess with synthetic. There is no need for it. You don't drive a bunch of miles, so you aren't trying to extend your changes. A good conventional oil (read any conventional oil) will last the 6 or so months that you are going between changes without much of an issue. I would s...
